A charter member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, she'd held many NCAA Women's Basketball Committee positions. Susan started in Rotary in California (D5130) serving as District Sergeant at Arms and Commemorative Program Chair before moving to D7600. She's been a member of the Lawrenceville club for 13 years and in 2007 selected as Rotarian of the Year. She was awarded the Governor's Award as Outstanding Club President in and has had perfect attendance for 18 years. For D7600 she's served as Area Governor (3 years) Rotaract Chair, Conference Co-Chair and Chair, and Chair of Awards Committee. She's a Rotary Leadership Institute graduate and a Paul Harris Fellow +3. She has been a speaker at Zone 33 and District Conferences from Maryland to South Carolina sharing her Rotary story including the reason why she wears her signature Converse tennis shoes. Susan and Zach live on Lake Gaston, Valentines, VA. They enjoy camping, walking, kayaking, yard work, reading, and spending time with family, fellow Rotarians, and all the comforts of lake life. Lehman is a Jamestown High School graduate heading to Princeton University in the fall. Montgomery will receive $1,000 for each semester from the club. James River Club... Alexandria Ritchie, a member of the James River Rotary Club and District 7600 Rotaract Chair, is also a 2018 biomedical engineering graduate of the VCU's College of Engineering. Spencer Jr; Club Foundation Chair Ken Hodge "Recently, during a visit to the Rotary Club of Newport News, I had the occasion to present Charlie Spencer with a crystal and pin from the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation signifying his reaching Major Donor level 2 in Foundation giving. Over the last 30 years, Charlie has supported Rotary in the polio eradication initiative through his donation to the annual fund, and polio plus campaigns. Charlie and Ken Hodge were there at the beginning of the polio eradication effort and are still as enthusiastic about eradicating polio today as they were 33 years ago. Charlie has reached a level that only 1% of the Rotarians of our district have achieved. It is truly my honor to recognize and support and dedication that Charlie has shown in the work of our Foundation." Chuck Arnason The Ashland Club leapt into The Rotary Foundation on "Giving Tuesday"!

During that day, every member of the Ashland Club contributed to the Annual Fund. As a result the club attained 100% Total Giving and 100% Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) status. Becuase the District matched those contributions, they had five members reach a Paul Harris Fellow level that day alone. It is very gratifying to see one of the newer clubs in our district embrace the Foundation in such a visible way. These Ashland Rotarians became Paul Harris Fellows alongside such luminaries as US President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, US astronaut James Lovell, UN Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar, Jonas Salk, Mother Teresa and Pearl Bailey. DRFC Chuck wants to especially thank Club President, Heather Ostrander, and Club Foundation Chair, Jack Douglas. Without them it never would have happened. District's First Arch Klumpf member... The Howard and Nancy Spainhour Trust has provided a donation to The Rotary Foundation sufficient for induction into the Arch Klumpf Society.
