1 ADMINISTRATION: SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES APPLICANTS 18 YEARS OR OLDER MUST BE A WYFB MEMBER TO BE ELIGIBLE. A committee composed of the Northeast District Director, a member of the Herbert D. Livingston family (selected by the Livingston family), and a third person to be selected by other committee members has been established by the Board of Directors to select the winners of the Livingston Family - H.J. King Memorial Scholarship and the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation Scholarships. : One $1, Livingston Family H.J. 2 QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Applicants 18 years or older must be a CURRENT member of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation. Applicants under 18 years must have an immediate family member or guardian that is a CURRENT member of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation. Having an Insurance policy with Mountain West Farm Bureau DOES NOT QUALIFY as a Wyoming Farm Bureau Membership or as involvement in the WyFB Organization. 2. Applicant must have either graduated from a Wyoming high school, be in the graduating class of a Wyoming high school, or be a Wyoming resident and have successfully completed an accredited home school curriculum when application is submitted. 3. Applicant must be enrolled at either a Wyoming junior college or the University of Wyoming at the time the scholarship is granted. 4. Entering college freshmen are eligible to apply. 5. Application must be postmarked or received on or before March 1 to: Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation P.O. Box 1348 / 931 Boulder Dr. Laramie, Wyoming The application form must be accompanied by all required attachments. (See Page 3) SELECTION OF RECIPIENT: The selection process will begin May 1 of each year. The recipient will be notified as soon as possible thereafter. The presentation of the awards will be made to the recipient by mail from the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation state office in the form of a check for the amount of the scholarship, made payable to the recipient. This check will be issued upon the timely receipt of verification of enrollment from the scholarship winner. Scholarship recipients will need to claim their scholarship and submit proof of enrollment, by sending a class schedule, by October 1 of the application year, or the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant according to score.

3 GUIDELINES: 1. The selection will be on a deserving basis; however, the winner must have at least a 3.0 scholastic grade point average based upon a 4.0 scale, and a minimum score of 20 on an ACT test or a 955 on an SAT test. 2. No one will be disqualified because of sex, race, color, creed or religious beliefs. 3. The Livingston Family H.J. King Memorial Scholarship winner may also be the recipient of a Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship, if so selected. THE FOLLOWING ATTACHMENTS ARE REQUIRED: 1. A recent 2 x 3 photograph (no computer copies please). 2. A transcript or grade report of your two most recent semesters grades. 3. At least three letters of recommendation. Choose from the following: Farm Bureau leader, Farm Bureau member, Farm Bureau agent, school teacher, administrator, community leader, church leader, or employer indicating your ability, character, and financial information. Please do not put your application in a folder or page covers.
