STATE FARM ORGANI ZATIONS - Cooperate on appr opriate activities with all State Farm Organizations. 1. AWARDS - Provide awards to encourage establishment in agricultural programs 2. PUBLICITY - To give publi c recognition for outstanding achievements. 2. NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL - Participate in Safety Program. Administer and give appropriate awards to FFA members: American Farmers, State Farmers, Star Farmers, Crop Farming, Livestock Farming, Dairy Farming, Poultry Farming, Forestry, Ornamental Horticulture, Soil and Water Management, Home Improvement, Agricultural Mechanics, Farm and Home Electrification, Agribusiness, Natural Resources Development, Placement in Agricultural Production, Public Speaking, Chapter Contest, Safety, Com Growing, Land, Livestock and Dairy Judging, String Band and Future Farmer of the Year. Distribute to local chapters appropriate found'ation medals. c. Present awards at appropriate ceremonies. d. Present awards to member s in contests set. up by the State Association. Assist in t he promotion of the calendars. Make news available to interest ed business and professional people. INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS - Keep and distribute i n f ormational materials. c. c. d. Set up regular schedule of FF A programs with TV stations where possible. Schedule radio and TV programs in connection with the State FFA Convention Schedule radio and TV programs at other appropriate times during the year, such as National FFA Week. Make available information on FFA to writers for magazines and press. Prepare appropriate news releases and stories for use by agricultural magazines and newspapers. Send suggested stories to local chapters. Maintain FFA photograph file i n State office. Maintain a supply of materials about the FFA. Provide such materials to give to people desiring information on the FFA. 7 EXHIBITS - Make available exhibit materials. Provide pictures, charts and other materials and information on the FFA. 8. NATIONAL FFA WEEK - Emphasize FFA Statewide. c. d. e. f. Prepare materials for use of local chapters. Prepare r adio and television scripts. Schedule radio and TV programs. Prepare releases for press on FFA Week. Schedule speakers and motion picture films during week. Encourage use of exhibits in appropriate places during week. 9. HONORARY DEGREE - Awards to persons whose contributi ons to FFA have been outstanding. Confer Honor ary State Farmer Degree on adults and i ndividuals who have served the FFA well in a broader area than just the local level. 1. STATE CONVENTION - Provide recreation. RECREATION Provide musical units, string bands, speciality numbers and others.

MEMBERSIITP GOAL Set membership goal for 26, SCHOLARSHIP WAYS AND MEANS Require a satisfactory scholarship record.for advancement i n degrees and FFA Contests and Awards. Solicit funds from Industry, individuals and other interested groups to continue a scholarship program. Encourage FFA members to apply for scholarships available. MEMBERSHIP All boys enroll ed in vocational agriculture belong t o FFA. All chapters set local membership goals. c. All boys kept active members as long as they are eligible. d. All chapters establi sh a program of annual recreational and social activities to encourage membership. e. State Officers promote and encourage membership thr ough correspondence and on visi ts to l ocal chapters. 2. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Distribute information on available scholarships.
