1 Ardmore Rotary Scholarship Application By Rotary Club of Ardmore (Dornick Hills) The purpose of the Ardmore Rotary Scholarship is for the Rotary Club of Ardmore (Dornick Hills) to recognize and reward local students who embody the high standards of the Rotary International motto, SERVICE ABOVE SELF. A. Eligibility Requirements for Academic or Vocational Scholarship 1. Applicant must be a graduating senior. 2. An applicant and their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must reside in Carter County. The applicant must be a high school senior attending one of the following schools: Ardmore High School or Plainview High School. 3. For vocational scholarship application, applicants must be accepted for enrollment in a vocational school that offers certification or degree upon graduation. Documented proof from the institution of enrollment is required. 4. For academic scholarship applications, applicants must have applied to and/or been accepted for enrollment as a full-time undergraduate at an accredited college or other approved institution in the United States. Documented proof from the institution of the full time enrollment is required 5. All Applicants must demonstrate Service above Self through a history of school and/or community service. B. Procedures 1. The deadline for submitting applications is April 1 st. 2. Required documents: i. Copies of applicant s most recent high school transcript. ii. Two (2) letters of recommendations attesting to the applicant s character and community service. iii. This scholarship can be used for any educational expense (not only tuition) which will be paid directly to the school of preference. iv. The winner must attend at least one Rotary Club meeting during the first year of having received the scholarship. v.
