1 2017 ROYAL OAK YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION The policy considered in selecting the students to receive the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Scholarship is as follows: An applicant for this scholarship must MEET the following requirements: o o A graduating student in the current year (2017), and Participating in ten of 14 seasons starting from U11 Division. The applicant must have participated as a player or a referee for the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association or for a high school soccer team. The Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Scholarship Committee process is as follows: 1. The Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Scholarship will be an annual one-time award of one thousand ($1,000) dollars to a maximum of four High School seniors. 2. Any and all High School seniors who meet the criteria listed in the Scholarship Application Requirements shall be eligible to receive a scholarship award. 3. Any member of the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Board whose child has submitted an application shall excuse him/herself from any scholarship application review process. 4. The management and disbursement of the funds will be the responsibility of the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association s Treasurer. The Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association check will be presented by the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association s President at Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Opening Day Ceremonies. 5. The recipient(s) of the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Scholarship(s) are to be announced in June, 2017.

2 6. All applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association Board. The applicant(s) with the best rankings will receive the scholarship(s). Ranking will be available on request. It is understood that the awards are only for study in an accredited college or universities offering four-year programs, or accredited community colleges, junior colleges offering two-year programs, or accredited trade schools. The application will be considered only when accompanied by the following supporting data: Completed application form must be typed Photo for press releases Current transcript Letter of recommendation from a school teacher or counselor Letter of recommendation from a soccer coach, a Royal Oak Youth Soccer Association representative, or a senior referee.
