21 Eligible Applicants Public authorities (Ministry or equivalent) responsible for education and training at the highest level in the relevant national or regional context. Public or private organisations active in the fields of education or training or other relevant fields Public or private organisations or institutions carrying out cross-sector activities linked to education and training in other socio-economic sectors 21

22 The Project Consortium Composition: at least 4 entities representing 3 or more different countries Eligible programme countries: - 28 EU Member states - EFTA/EEA countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein & Norway - EU candidate countries: Turkey & The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 22

23 The Project Consortium Coordinator Partners Coordinator: - Submits application; represents the applicants vis-a-vis the European Commission - Coordinates the project with all other partners Partners Partners: - Legal entities participating in the partnership Researchers Associated Partners - Contribute to implementation and evaluation of the project - Sign mandate letter authorizing the coordinator to act on their behalf 23

24 The Project Consortium Coordinator Partners Associate Partners: Contribute to the implementation of specific tasks and support the project, but receive no financial aid Partners Researchers Associated Partners Researcher: Designs the protocol of the field trials and supervises its implementation Closely interacts with the partners, however independence is ensured to guarantee impartiality & accountability 24

26 Expected Results Support to the priorities for policy cooperation at EU level set out in the ET 2020 Framework Improved knowledge and evidence base for reforms with potentially high impact in the sectors concerned European added value by jointly identifying what does and does not work Scalability and transferability of innovative measures, creating best conditions for making new measures part of a policy Consistency and complementarity between theory and practice 26

28 Activities Field trials must take place in three countries whose public authorities are involved in the project Activities taking place in programme countries Project duration: months Start between 1 January 2019 and 28 February

29 Financial Provisions Total budget: 10 Mio. Maximum EU-grant per project: 2 Mio. EU financial contribution max. 75% Co-Financing through: Beneficiary s own resources Income generated by the action Financial contributions from third parties 29

32 Selection Criteria Stage 1 Relevance of the project (20 points) Stage 2 Quality of the project design and implementation (30 points) Quality of the partnership and the cooperation arrangements (20 points) Impact, dissemination, and sustainability (30 points) *Projects must reach a threshold of at least 60 points 32
