I Confirmation of the minutes of the 112th Council Meeting held on 13 Nov The minutes of the 112th Council Meeting were confirmed. II 3. Report from the President New Membership application-hkspu - The new membership was tabled for approval - The following required follow-up actions: a. Total no. of 10,000 members was recorded in M&A while the total no. of members was declared to be 20 on Application b. Whether only urologists could be accepted as members c. Whether urologists could stay as members upon retirement Page 2 of 6

3 International Forum on Quality and Safety - The English branch of BMA - the BMJ - had extended invitation to BMA(HK branch) and the Federation as supporting organizations to a 2-3 days 2015 International Forum on Quality and Safety in Asia to be held at the HKCEC. The Federation 50 th Anniversary Award would be granted to best posters submitters. Any topics on quality in improvement innovation could be submitted and the closing date for posters submission would be March 30, The Economist's Health Care in Asia Summit - The Economist goup, Asia-pacific, would be organizing its annual Health care in Asia summit in Hong Kong on March 20 th, The topic this year would center around The war on cancer: Enemy of the state focusing firmly and optimistically on solutions for Asia-Pacific. - All members would like to know the discount that could be offered to Federation. 6. Family cohesiveness initiative with the Department of health - In response to invitation from Dr. Constance Chan, the Director of Health, a symposium on Family Cohesiveness /Ease of post-traumatic stress would be conducted with the following suggested topics: - How to deal with conflict in family - How family grows to meet with crisis - How to handle rebellious children - How to recognize problem children - The symposium would be conducted with the Committee on Home School Cooperation as supporting organization - The Education department would refer a Principal to speak on the stress and pressure of students - The same group of speakers would be delivering the talks to other schools and Districts Councils 7. Annual Dinner - Singers were Ms. Sharon Chan ( 陳敏之 ) and Ms. Susan Guterres. - The awards of the competitions would be as follows: a. Bling Bling Costume Prize b. Fever Dancing Award c. King and Queen of Karaoke d. The fee charges would be revised to HK$ 1,300 per head - Activities included were Instant phot taking, Portrait photo taking,magic show, Bingo III 8. Report from the Hon. Changes on name of Society HK Society for Quality of Life Ltd. - Due to the change of name of the Society a new M&A, BR and Certificate of change of Name were submitted IV. 10. V. 1. Report from the Hon. Treasurer - Benjamin reported that Oct. was considered a good month with the surplus of $22, Reports from Various Committees Report from Finance Committee - Benjamin further reported that the stocks improved when compared to that of the purchasing value by19%. 2. Report from Administrative Committee - Nancy reported that the utilization of the premises for Oct. decreased by 150% comparing to same month last year due to the Occupy Central movement. 5 Report from Publicity & Publications Committee 3. Medical Diary - Nancy reported that the Oct. Medical Diary experienced a profitable month with an income amounting to HK$172, Update on Medical Directory - A batch of data was received. Dr. SK Chan would assist in assigning the proofreading work to members Report from Education Committee - Dr. Chak reported that in 2014/2015, there were 15 completed courses, 3 on-going courses and 2 courses under discussion - Dr. Lo reminded Erica to follow up with Dr. Johnathan Wai for a discussion of the Certificate course on disaster recovery - Prof. Bernard Cheung confirmed that the Certificate course on Pharmacology would be organised in The Certificate course on Insurance would be conducted sometime around Chinese New Year in Evaluation of Certificate Courses - Comments on the Evaluation Form on completed courses in Oct. were reviewed by members. VI. 7. Report from Member Services Committee Update on Secretariat Service - Nil VII. 1. Any Other Business Soccer 5 and Basketball Tournament - The Soccer 5 would be held on Nov. 23 and Dec.7 with 11 participating teams for Football and 8 teams for Basketball th Anniversary of Federation - An application for the logo competition, submitted by the Hong Kong Society for Infectious Diseases, was received and reviewed by members. Public Talk Nov.30/Dec.13 - A public talk on Depression and Suicide Prevention was scheduled on Nov 30.The speakers were Dr. Cheung Wai Him and ms. Susanna Choi. The sponsor was Otsuka Pharmaceutical Ltd. - The public talk in Pre-natal test had been postponed to January due to availability Page 5 of 6
