1 TEXAS BRAHMAN ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION The Texas Brahman Association will award scholarships to worthy recipients having made outstanding contributions to agriculture and the Brahman Industry. The winners will be announced during the TJBA State Show Awards Banquet. ELGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS SELECTION 1. Applicants must be an active member of the Texas Junior Brahman Association (TJBA) and must have been an exhibitor in the State Show for two or more years. 2. Applicants must be a high school graduating senior in the year an application is submitted. 3. Applicants are required to submit a complete scholarship application along with a brief essay as to why they believe they are deserving of this scholarship, a copy of the official high school transcript that included the most recent grading period grades, and two letters of recommendation. 4. Completed applications and other documentation must be returned to: TJBA, P.O. Box 202 Anderson, Texas Applications must be postmarked by June 1, 2017 to be considered for selection. 5. Awards: Scholarship will be presented to the recipient upon proof of enrollment to a college or university. (If recipient does not present proof of enrollment by the following January, scholarship funds will be forfeited.) The TBA Scholarship Committee, selected by the TBA President, will review the applications, interview the applicants and select the recipients. Scholarship applicants will be interviewed during the State Show by the TBA Scholarship Committee. All decisions of the Committee will be final. APPLICATION TBA Scholarship applications is attached. Once received by TJBA office, qualifications will be confirmed before applications are forwarded to the scholarship committee.
