3 ch Foundation who we are The ch Foundation for federal co-operation is a Swiss inter-cantonal organisation that was founded in 1967 has members from all 26 cantons promotes communication and understanding between Switzerland's different linguistic communities and cultures as well as inter-cantonal cooperation (Solothurn) is committed to the concept of federalism (Bern) Swiss interim solution - SEMP

16 Student and staff mobility: important things to know Student mobility for studies and Staff mobility for teaching: Based on inter-institutional agreements (Swiss-European Mobility programme/erasmus+) Incoming Student mobility for traineeships: - not possible after diploma - only eligible for funding if - either student from partner university - or traineeship at a Swiss HEI - decision on funding: Swiss HEI according to their criteria, available funds etc. Incoming Staff mobility for training: - only at a Swiss HEI Swiss interim solution - SEMP

20 Official vs Associated Participation within the framework of Erasmus+ official partner à EU funding Participation within the framework of the Swiss interim solution for Erasmus+ associated partner à Swiss funding

21 Participation as official partner within the Erasmus+ programme CH institutions cannotbe coordinators. Application through coordinating institution to National Agency (SP) or EACEA (KA). Swiss institutions do not count towards the minimum number of participating institutions required for a cooperation project. If a project is selected for funding, the Swiss institution officially participating will receive EU funding. In this case, there is no additional Swiss funding. Erasmus+ Programme Guide (esp. pages ). A Swiss institution officially participating in a cooperation project must bring an essential added value to the project. This aspect is crucialand must be considered in the application. Otherwise, the project can be rejected.

23 Participation as associated partner within the Interim Solution A Swiss institution participating as associated partner in a cooperation project approved for funding by the competent National Agency can receive Swiss funding. The Swiss institution can apply for Swiss funding in the framework of the interim solution for Erasmus+. Swiss institutions participating in a Strategic Partnership should, Swiss institutions participating in a Knowledge Alliance must be mentioned in the official Erasmus+ application Application form and grants Annexes to be submitted once available: copy of the official application, copy of the Grant Award Notification, written approval of the coordinator
