Class Assistants Parent Jobs Descriptions Unless otherwise stated, all jobs take place on both Monday and Friday and the same number of volunteers are needed for both days. 1) Family Room Set Up Time commitment: 9:45-10:00 Volunteer needed: 4 Set up family room tables and chairs per diagram and photos located in the Jobs Binder Set up Lobby per diagram Set out drink station, lost and found, child sign out clipboard, teacher file folders and message board per diagram and photos located in the Jobs Binder Set up Room 103 with tables and chairs per diagram and photos located in the Jobs Binder 2) Family Room Take Down Time commitment: 2:30-2:45 Volunteers needed: 4 Return chairs and tables from Room 103 to the family room and alcove Return family room tables and chairs per diagram located in the Jobs Binder Return items on counter and welcome desk to the locked cabinet in the study room Return Lobby chairs and tables per the diagram in the Jobs Binder
2 3) Lunch Clean Up Time commitment: 12:30-12:40 Volunteer needed: 2 Use carpet sweeper in family room and lobby Sweep tile in family room Report problems to a board member on site or the jobs coordinator 4) End of Day Check Time commitment: 2:35-2:45 Volunteers needed: 1 Check that all classrooms have been returned to normal per diagram in Jobs Binder and on class door. Lock upstairs cabinets Lock downstairs cabinets Double check end of day tasks were completed; if attention is needed please return room to normal and contact a board member or jobs coordinator 5) Art Room Clean Up Time commitment: 2:30-2:45 Volunteers needed: 1 Wipe tables and counters Sweep floor If more attention is needed, please return room to normal and refer to a board member on site or the jobs coordinator 6) Reception Desk Time Commitment: 9:45-10:55, 10:55-12:05, 12:05-1:15, or 1:15-2:25 Volunteers Needed: 4 This job requires one person to stay at the desk for a full hour and 10 minutes, but they may do other things like read or visit quietly while at the station Answer questions about EHPTSA and/or direct inquiries to the appropriate person Keep track of EHPTSA items made available to the general membership such as the teacher file folders, the sign-out form, and other such items as necessary. Help supervise the area by the door to the family room. The first shift will be required to help set up the station, and the last shift will be required to help take it down.
3 7) Hall Monitors Time Commitment: 9:55-10:55, 10:55-11:55, 12:35-1:35, or 1:35-2:35 6 This job requires one person to stay at each station for a full hour, but they may do other things like read or visit quietly so long as the monitor is present to maintain order and assist teachers if necessary. Stations - Hall Monitor, Upstairs Hallway Report repeated issues to the Board Hall Monitor, Downstairs Hallway Check the two bathrooms at the end of the hall Report any issues to the Board or the Jobs Coordinator Hall Monitor, Family Room Check the bathrooms behind the stage Report any issues to the Board or Jobs Coordinator Hall Monitor, Lobby Report any issues to the Board
4 8) Lunch Monitors This job requires one person to stay at each station for 40 minutes, but they may eat lunch or visit at the station so long as they are aware enough to maintain order. Time Commitment: 11:55-12:35 Volunteers Needed: 3 Stations- Lunch Monitor, Outdoors North is stationed on the north side of Jubilee Reach. In good weather when families are outside, this monitor must also be outside to keep order. In inclement weather when people stay inside, this monitor may stay in the lobby near the door to the parking lot. Keep an eye on the lawn and the playground Remind children to behave appropriately Remind families to clean up after themselves Stay outside when any EHPTSA children are outside Report issues and situations to the Board Lunch Monitor, Outdoors South is stationed on the patio outside the family room. In good weather when families are outside, this monitor must also be outside to keep order. In inclement weather when people stay inside, this monitor may stay in the family room near the door to the patio. Keep an eye on the patio and surrounding areas Remind children to behave appropriately Remind families to clean up after themselves Stay outside when any EHPTSA children are outside Report issues and situations to the Board Lunch Monitor, Family Room Keep an eye on the lunch room Remind children to behave appropriately Remind families to clean up after themselves Inspect the bathrooms behind the stage Report issues and situations to the Board
5 9) Class Assistants Geology Rocks with Gwyneth Jones Time Commitment: set up 12:15-12:30, clean up 2:30-2:45 for each time slot Duties Help carry materials to or from the classroom Set up or clean up materials as necessary Mud Puddles with Chondra Norman MONDAY ONLY Time commitment: 10:00-10:55, 11:00-11:55 for each time slot Help keep track of kids outdoors Take kids to find the restroom or their parents if ever needed Help monitor activities on the playground Sewing with Willow Foster Time Commitment: 10:00-10:55, 11:00-11:55 Volunteers needed: 1 for each time slot Assist teacher in setting up the room Assist teacher in cleaning up the room Move sewing machines Assist students with threading and clearing bobbin tangling, (Willow will teach this skill if necessary) Traditional Crafts with Jen Wilson Time Commitment: 12:25-1:30 Little Scientist PreK-K with Cheri Hennessey Time Commitment: 10:00-12:00
