No;78000/E6/1/09, Dated. 21/01/11 of the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, Chennai-6 & Under the powers delegated in the Government Orders 1 st cited and as per the instructions contained in the Government letters 2 nd & 4 th cited and in the Govt. order 6 th cited, the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services is pleased to approve the list of 25 Medical Officers in the cadre of Senior Assistant Surgeons as mentioned in the Annexure-I for re-fitment to the post of Chief Civil Surgeon (Common/Specialist) for the year 2009 as ordered therein with effect from date of taking charge. The Senior Assistant Surgeons in General line as mentioned in Annexure I (25 Medical Officers) are re fixed in the new cadre of Chief Civil Surgeon created in the Government Order 1 st cited, carrying pay band IV of Rs /- with grade pay Rs /-with effect from date of taking charge. Consequent on re-fitment exercise subsequent increment will be on normal increment date without prejudice to their duties and responsibilities now held by them. Consequent on this re-fitment exercise postings order will be issued separately in respect of 25 Medical Officers mentioned in the Annexure-I to the posts of Chief Civil Surgeon (Common/Specialist) as per the flexibility system ordered in the references 2 nd & 6 th cited.

2 All the Medical Officers as mentioned in Annexure I are fully qualified to hold the post of Chief Civil Surgeon. This re-fitment list has been prepared based on the CML seniority assigned in the year 2005 and seniority assigned in the post of Senior Assistant Surgeon. Consequent on re-fitment if any excess payment is found at the later date such excess payment shall be recovered from the pay of an individual in one lump sum. Any appeal with regard to this re-fitment should be preferred within two months from the date of this order through proper channel.
