To enter your user preferences 1. Click on the Rx writer icon 2. Click on the user preferences icon 3. Select the location you are practicing from. 4. Select the phone number that a pharmacist can contact you with any questions. 5. You only have to select the location and the phone number once. If your user preferences is defaulted to esubmit, the prescriptions will default to esubmit. Schedule drugs are not eligible for eprescribe, they will default to Print. 06/2013 Page 5 of 10
6 11. If the patient does not want to participate in eprescribe/esubmit, the Provider can manually change the submit method to print. Medications listed in blue are unsubmitted prescriptions 2. Medications listed in red have submission errors 3. The errors that display are specific to the user that is logged in 4. For example, in the screen shot below, the notification icon indicates there are 5 items that the logged in Provider needs to review. There are 3 unsubmitted orders, 1 submission error on levothroid, and 1 error that exists on another patient the logged in provider has cared for. 5. Other providers will see the medications listed in blue or red and can address the errors. 6. To manage the errors, click on the Nofification error icon, then 7. Click on the item you would like to address. 06/2013 Page 7 of 10
8 8. You will then receive a listing of the specific errors. Click on the plus sign to see more details. This is the error on levothroid This is an existing error on a pt cared for by the logged in Provider To address errors: 1. Right click on the medication with the error or in unsubmitted status 2. 9 4. When the prescription box pops up, make the changes to address the errors or review the medication, then 5. Click review and submit 6. Once all errors have been addressed, the writing of the medication will turn black and the number of errors on the Notification icon will decrease. 7. Click close when finished. 06/2013 Page 9 of 10
