Performing pre-diagnostic testing on patients. Educating patients on proper eye care and contact lens wear. Coordinate consultations for secondary care and other healthcare needs Optician: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interpret prescriptions written by ophthalmologists and optometrists Help clients select frames and eyeglass and lens treatments including tints and coatings based on need, and take the appropriate measurements Create work orders for lab technicians to ensure the proper lenses are received Verify jobs once they have been received from the lab to ensure accuracy and notify patients of arrival or delays Adjust eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit Repair broken frames Educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care Vision Therapist: Our Vision Therapy department provides customized treatment plans designed to help our patients improve the coordination and perception of their eyes as they gather, process, and integrate visual information.
