13 AONE Foundation Education Events and Opportunities The AONE Foundation for Nursing Leadership Research and Education (AONE Foundation) was established in 2010 to support the research and educational priorities of AONE. The AONE Foundation s activities and programs include annual seed grants to fund nursing research projects, leadership development focusing on nurse managers and the annual Nurse Researcher Award, which honors an individual who has made a significant contribution to nursing research and is recognized by the broader nursing community as an outstanding nurse researcher. 17 AONE Terms and Conditions for eblast Advertising 1. Price is based on the existing number of AONE Membership contacts on the day the price is quoted. This price is locked for 30 days from the date it is quoted. 2. AONE requires 2 weeks prior to the scheduled eblast to review and approve the material to be ed to AONE Members upon receiving the materials from the client. 3. AONE will not accept advertising of an educational event/meeting that competes with an AONE educational event/ meeting within 30 days before, or after, the AONE educational event/meeting. 4. Content needs to be designed and laid out by the client. AONE will not provide design. 5. All advertising is subject to AONE approval. AONE retains the right to modify, reject or cancel any advertisement or contract at any time, for any reason. AONE will at no time endorse advertising and any use of AONE editorial content for advertising copy is subject to advance approval by AONE. 6. Advertisements are accepted for publication with the understanding that the advertiser is authorized to publish the content of the advertisement. By submitting an advertisement, advertisers agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless AONE from any claims or actions based on, or arising out of, any matter of any kind contained in such advertising or the unauthorized use of any person s name or photographs or any sketch, map, words, labels, trademarks, copyrighted materials or libelous statement in connection with advertising purchased according to the terms of this media kit. 7. AONE shall not be subject to any liability, whatsoever, for any failure to publish or circulate all or any part of any issue(s) because of work stoppage, accidents, acts of God, or any other circumstances not under the control of AONE. 8. Please carefully review these policies. 1. All drafts and final versions of the AONE member- ship files and labels are the sole and exclusive property of AONE. 2. All list rental orders must be made in writing using the AONE membership list rental contract. Each request must be accompanied by a sample of the material to be mailed to AONE members. AONE will review and approve the sample prior to processing the list order. 3. Lists will include only member names and preferred mailing addresses; telephone/fax numbers and addresses will not be released. Please note that many AONE members use their home address as their preferred mailing address. 4. Requests will be accepted only for purposes appropriate to the nurse executive/director/ manager roles and responsibilities, and shall not be in conflict with the AONE mission, goals and activities. 5. The AONE membership list cannot be rented for the purpose of publicizing employment opportunities. Contact AONE s Chicago office at (312) to learn about employment advertising options. 6. Products and educational programs to be marketed must not conflict with AONE offerings. If you have any doubt about this, please contact AONE to discuss your proposed mailing before determining your print quantity and submitting the rental contract. In general, AONE will not rent its membership list for promotions of in-person national education programs scheduled one month before or after an AONE education program or distance education programs scheduled one week before or after an AONE distance education program. However, AONE reserves full discretion to deter- mine when a conflict exists and to deny a mailing list rental request. 7. Rental of the AONE membership list is available for the conduct of both proprietary and nonproprietary research. In both cases, rental will be permitted only for those that conform to generally accepted norms and standards for survey research and that impact the role of nurses in executive practice who design, facilitate and manage patient care delivery across the health care continuum. Proprietary research, that is, for the purpose of informing future product and service development, may not use the AONE name nor associate AONE in any way with the study. A copy of the survey must be provided to AONE in advance for its review and approval. Study results do not have to be shared with AONE. Research that is non-proprietary (i.e., will be shared with the public) must be shared with AONE upon completion of the final report. Non-proprietary study publications must include the following statement: Participation of AONE members does not indicate AONE review or endorsement of this study. 19 AONE Membership List rental agreement continued 8. Each list rental is for one-time use only. Lists may not be reproduced, copied, sold or used to compile a database of any kind. Violations of this policy may result in the indefinite suspension of membership list rental privileges. 9. AONE will not provide refunds for unused portions of rented membership lists. Unused portions of a rented membership list may not be used for another mailing without the advance written consent of AONE. 10. All membership list renters are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the AONE membership list rental policies and procedures. These policies and procedures can be changed at any time without notice. AONE reserves full discretion to rent its membership list or any portion thereof. AONE shall not be responsible for any expenses incurred by a prospective list renter if its rental request is denied. Exceptions to these policies and procedures can be made only at the discretion of the AONE chief executive officer or his/her designee. 11. AONE Mailing: Lists may not be rented for any type of monetary solicitation or fund raising purposes.
