39 Calculating Your Ranking Course Grade Point Average (GPA) Sample is based on RN-Associate of Applied Science program Ranking Courses: BIOL 2401 A = 4 grade pts. = 16 pts. BIOL 2402 B = 3 grade pts. = 12 pts. RNSG 1301 B = 3 grade pts. = 9 pts. Total =11 credit hours = 37 pts. Formula: 37 points divided by 11 credits = 3.3 Ranking Course GPA Sample is based on VN Certificate program Ranking Courses: BIOL 2401 A = 4 grade pts. = 16 pts. BIOL 2402 B = 3 grade pts. = 12 pts. RNSG 1301 B = 3 grade pts. = 9 pts. Total= 11 credit hours = 37 pts. Formula: 37 points divided by 11 credits = 3.3 Ranking Course GPA

Sample for both RN and VN Course Ranking Factor: 720 maximum points divided by (4.0 X 11 Hrs.) = = Factor The Factor for Ranking Courses is set at
41 TEAS Weighted Percentages and Test Factor Formula: 1,200 maximum possible total points, multiplied by 10% weighted percentage, equals 120 divided by 1000 maximum test score value equals.12 factor Weighted Percentage Test Area Maximum Test Score Value Banner Posted Maximum Test Score Test Factor Maximum Test Score Points Nursing- RN and VN 10% Math % Reading % Writing % Science Total Maximum Test points= 40% of 1,200 maximum total points equals 480 points
42 Calculating the Test Ranking Score To determine the Test Ranking Score multiply the TEAS Subject Banner Score, by the Test factor (.12) Subtest Minimum Passing Scores EXAMPLE: If you get 89 % on Reading, you would multiply the Test Factor of.12 X 890 to get your (106.8) points for the Reading portion of your Test Ranking Score Total Maximum Test Ranking Score =480 points BANNER Score Reading 70% 0700 Mathematics 69% 0690 Science 53% 0530 English and Language Usage 63% 0630
