Together we are moving toward a new environment, with new pathways and structures that will emerge from the change. We are beginning to envisage a very different service and support environment, increasingly consumer directed, which focuses on quality of life whilst maximising cost efficiencies. Thriving through this change requires new ways of thinking, innovative approaches to service delivery and an ability to think outside the box. AAG and ACS have again come together to explore these issues, bringing providers, researchers and policy makers together to showcase what is new and possible into the future. The Conference will be of interest to health and aged care practitioners, researchers, community care providers, policy makers and planners and anyone interested in current issues in ageing. The Conference will examine the progress made to date in reforming the care for older Australians. Can we really achieve better care for lower cost? Who pays the hidden costs of improving government-funded care? What does better care really mean for consumers, for carers and for care workers? Should we focus more on reducing the disabling effects of ageing to reduce the need for formal care? AAG & ACS NSW & ACT invite you to: Share New research findings on health and ageing & healthy ageing Innovative practice in residential, community care, retirement living and healthy ageing Your ideas for new models of care and empowerment for older people Find out The latest information on implementation of the reform agendas What others are doing to improve practice in your field What changes are happening in other related fields Enjoy Stimulating presentations and networking opportunities Exchanging news and ideas with other delegates CONFERENCE HOSTS Aged & Community Services NSW & ACT PO Box 3124, Rhodes NSW 2138 Ph: (02) Fax: (02) CONFERENCE VENUE The Soldiers Club Beach Road Batemans Bay NSW &6 MARCH THE SOLDIERS CLUB, BATEMANS BAY
