Developed a plan for screening of emergency department patients for admission criteria to the most appropriate setting, such as inpatient, outpatient, clinic or if warranted, arrange home health, transfer to skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility or psychiatric care unit. Cheaha Regional Headstart Mental Health Consultant Observation of each classroom for correct mental health procedures. Training teachers and family service worker in behavior modification techniques. Crisis intervention with students, teachers and staff. Stress management training for staff. Screening students for possible long term mental health needs. Social Work Manager Russell Hospital and Hospice Supervision and training of Hospice Social Workers. Provide training for medical personnel regarding social issues, i.e. child abuse, bereavement, etc. Crisis intervention and bereavement counseling in hospital and hospice settings. Assessment of patients within the hospital, emergency room and hospice settings. Active member of the Continuum of Care Team. Managerial duties including producing a departmental policy and procedure manual, annual budget, goal setting and data collection. Outreach Worker Cheaha Mental Health Center Supervision and training of Supervised Community Living Home staff. Inservice staff regarding behavior management, developmental disabilities and IEPs. Development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Insure that homes, staff and records were in compliance with state standards. Development of Behavior Management Plans. Acting Director Cheaha Mental Health Center Supervision and training of Cheaha Developmental Center Staff. Supervise programs for both mentally challenged pre-school children and adults. Development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Development of Behavior Management Plans. Insure that both programs were in compliance with state standards.
