Application Process Application packet available by calling Teacher recommendation & essay required. Ages at the time of the camp. $75 tuition due on acceptance. 2 Dear Student, Roper St. Francis Healthcare will be holding the ninth annual Roper St. Francis SCRUBS Health Career Exploration Camp this summer. Because of your interest in a health related career we are forwarding the application forms for you to consider. The SCRUBS Health Career Exploration Camp will be an activity-filled week offering students who have an interest in health careers an opportunity to explore nursing & medical careers at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. The action packed week will include CPR & First Aid, Cardiology, PT/OT, Surgical, EMS, Radiology and Obstetrical sessions. General Information: The program will be held June 12-16, 2017, Monday Friday from 8:30 a.m. 3:45 p.m. SCRUBS camp is for students 14 and 15 years old at the time of the camp. There will be one camp this year, based at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital (West Ashley) with students reporting to Roper Hospital (downtown) on Wednesday & Thursday. To apply: Completed and signed applications must be received by 04/10/17. Ask a teacher or guidance counselor to complete the reference form. Write a 300-word essay describing why you should be considered for this program, your interest in a career in health care and what you would like to learn by participating in this program. $75 camp fee is due on acceptance. Do not mail fee with your application. There are 30 slots available. Do not apply if you do not expect to be able to attend all five days of the camp or if you have already attended the camp.
