YOUR GUIDE TO USING KAISER ON-THE-JOB OREGON AND WASHINGTON The experts in occupational health 9KOJ-11/12-11 All plans offered and underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest. 500 NE Multnomah St., Suite 100, Portland, OR
CARE AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES ALL WORKERS WELCOME Workers don t have to be a member of our plans to get care through Kaiser On-the-Job, and employers do not need to offer one of our health plans. We re set up to treat any employee with a work-related injury or illness. WE HELP WITH THE PAPERWORK Look to us for assistance with administering workers compensation. We ll complete a treatment plan and give you the paperwork you need. PROMPT, EFFECTIVE CARE Employees see providers in their offices. Each location is staffed by doctors who are board certified in occupational health. All the services a worker is likely to need X rays, lab tests, and more are available at all seven locations. 9KOJ-11/
RETURN-TO-WORK STRATEGIES Even before a worker completes recovery, he or she may be able to return to the job on a modified work status. Modified work can actually help people heal quicker. It restores confidence by showing them they can make a contribution. It keeps them connected to the workplace and co-workers. And it gives them something positive to focus on. KEEPING YOU INFORMED We ll make certain you and your workers compensation administrator are kept up to date. We ll also fill out and file all the appropriate paperwork. CONTENTS Care and rehabilitative services... 2 Return-to-work strategies... 3 Health and safety services... 4 Care during business hours... 5 After-hours care... 5 Occupational Health locations Portland area Salem area... 8 Southwest Washington... 9 Emergency care KOJ-11/
HEALTH AND SAFETY SERVICES There s more to workplace health than preventing accidents and treating injuries. A good workplace health program helps employees lead healthy lives. We provide a complete range of workplace health programs on a fee-forservice basis. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING Federal and nonfederal urine drug screening. Breath alcohol testing. MEDICAL EXAMS Pre-placement. Post-offer. Fitness for duty. Commercial driver s license (CDL). DOT compliance. Respirator clearance. Asbestos screening. Vision screening. IMMUNIZATIONS Hepatitis A & B. TB/PPD. Tetanus. OTHER SERVICES Consultation and needs assessment. Health risk appraisals. Lifestyle classes. Smoking cessation. Weight loss. Custom programs. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THESE SERVICES, CALL KAISER ON-THE-JOB AT KOJ-11/
Our dedicated Occupational Health Service Center is available during regular clinic hours to help you and your employees.
