6 PERSON SPECIFICATION POSITION TITLE: Clinical Co-ordinator PACU Minimum Preferred Qualification RCpN, RGON, BA Nursing Post-graduate Certificate in Perioperative Specialty Nursing/ Intensive Care Nursing Experience Registered Nurse with 5 years perioperative/intensive care nursing experience with demonstrated nursing leadership experience at this level Highly proficient clinician in nursing practice including skills, knowledge and ability to provide direction for and evaluate nursing care Ability to demonstrate clinical leadership Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these Coaching Skills Experience in using patient management systems and Microsoft office products Working towards further post graduate/ Masters education Team Management Change Management Skills/Knowledge/ Behaviour Contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in this specialty Dynamic and creative approach to nursing care Excellent communication skills Shows initiative Calm, even, consistent and mature personality A positive nursing identity and ability to act as role model for other nursing staff Good facilitation skills Upholds confidentiality with reputation for integrity and discretion An active listener, has a way of valuing everyone s opinions Supportive, solution based attitude in times of high clinical demand Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 6
