We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join our successful team of academics and researchers in the Division of Psychology in the School of Applied Social Sciences. We are working in partnership with the NHS to deliver Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner training in the East Midlands region and are seeking an individual with academic administrative experience to be part of the PWP team and the potential to be the programme leader of the course to train low intensity psychological wellbeing practitioners. You will be required to contribute to the programme and to oversee arrangements for students on their clinical placements. You will be working with other staff who have practice experience and your role will be programme management, research, evaluation of the training and some teaching assessment. You will hold a postgraduate degree in psychology or a related field, have expertise in the psychology of mental health/psychological wellbeing, and will have knowledge of the training requirements for low intensity psychological wellbeing practitioners. You will also be knowledgeable about professional body accreditation relevant to this training, will have excellent communication and team working skills, and will be committed to delivering a first class experience for students. 2 Job Description Health and Life Sciences Grade: G Full time/part time (hours per week) Role profile: Fixed term: 4 years Duties of the role Overall purpose of the role Main duties and responsibilities You will play a key role in leading and administration and organisation of the Postgraduate and Graduate Certificates in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies programmes. You will also be expected to contribute to the teaching of students on clinical placements. You will be responsible for: Academic Administration Leading in the planning, day to day organisation and administration of programmes Participating in programme, subject area, Division, School and Faculty meetings as required Liaising with NHS partners/stakeholders to support the smooth running of the programme and to enhance the experience of students Assisting with student recruitment Teaching and Learning Leading the management and delivery of modules on the PG Cert Low Intensity Psychological Therapies programme, including developing innovative teaching and assessment strategies. Developing new modules in specialist areas as required for the training Initiating, supervising and assessing, with feedback, student work Overseeing the supervision of clinical practice and support of PWP trainees on placements Developing the programme with the staff team Assessing the effectiveness of the PWP programme Enhancing DMU s profile through relevant professional and, where appropriate international activity.

A good degree in Psychological conferring eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society, OR a degree in a related discipline OR current professional registration with a regulated health or social care professional/statutory body A I T D A supervision qualification Knowledge, skills and abilities Experience of teaching psychology/mental health in a university setting OR training/supervision of staff and/or students in the workplace. Knowledge of different models of mental health/mental illness and psychological therapies Current knowledge of the PWP national curriculum and approaches to assessment of knowledge and practice Knowledge of the PWP role and an understanding of the nature and boundaries around interventions undertaken by PWP staff Knowledge of British Psychological Society accreditation processes applicable to PWP training and X
