Created by the National Library of Medicine. Over 4,600 current biomedical journals. CINAHL (Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature) is the authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. Over 1,700 current nursing and allied health journals.

27 CINAHL Basically the same limiters as MEDLINE except : Journal Subset Publication type (Case study, pamphlet) Age groups are different Special interest (Critical care, Nursing Administration, etc) When searching both MEDLINE & CINAHL at the same time, all limiters must be entered separately.

31 Fast way to get free fulltext articles: Click on the Limits tab then select PubMed Central from the Subsets Pulldown menu. To expand a search, click on Related Articles

32 Another feature of PubMed is Links which links to Reference Books with relevant information and libraries which have the journal and volume in their collection.

33 From Links- Books: Words in the abstract are Printed in blue, underlined and linked to textbooks or dictionaries for clarification and more information. Separate tutorial about more features of PubMed available.

45 Summary : All databases are very powerful and very different. Worth it to do the Online Tutorials and look at the Help pages. UpToDate
