1 Dear Applicant: North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Thank you for your interest in applying to the Traditional BSN Entry Option at NC Agricultural & Technical State University School of Nursing. The application deadline for admission to upper division nursing is Wednesday, February 15, Applications should be submitted to the Office of Student Services (Suite 109) in the School of Nursing by 5:00 p.m. Admission to the Traditional Entry Option Upper Division is very competitive and dependent on the pool of applicants. Letters of admittance or declinations will be sent by April 1st to your mailing address provided on your application. Additional information regarding enrollment criteria will be provided after admittance into the Upper Division of the Traditional BSN Entry Option. 2 Requirements for Submitting Application Thank you for your interest in applying to the School of Nursing Upper Division at North Carolina A & T State University. The application and required documents must be submitted to the Office of Student Services no later than the application deadline. Late or incomplete applications will affect your admission decision. The application deadline is Wednesday, February 15, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. The following admission requirement must be met before acceptance to the School of Nursing, Upper Division. Please review the following prior to submitting your application: 1. Completion of the Pre-Nursing Program requirements (lower division courses) with a minimum of 2.8, overall cumulative grade-point average (GPA); course grades must be C or higher for consideration into upper division. 2. The following science courses must be completed with a C or higher on the first attempt: BIOL 100, CHEM 104 and CHEM 114, and BIOL 361 (Human Anatomy and Physiology) or approved equivalent. 3. Students must submit OFFICIAL transcripts from All other colleges, universities, and community colleges attended. All transcripts must be submitted with the application packet. 4. A letter of good standing is required for any student previously enrolled in another nursing program (upper division). 5. The pre-requisites listed on the Curriculum Guide must be completed and/or in process at the time of application. 6. Students who have not completed or who are not currently enrolled in the NURS 226 (Intro. to Professional Nursing) and NURS 205 (Pharmacology) during the spring semester are not eligible to apply at this time. 7. 6 Application To ensure safety in the clinical setting and meet the standards for clinical agencies, the School of Nursing must determine if students have criminal convictions.
