Provectus (UK) Ltd The Advanced Solution
Provectus Latin for Advanced: "Advanced in age; more highly developed; at a higher stage of development than other people or things; Futuristic: considered to be radical or ahead of it's time." Our Company We at Provectus are different. We are not just consultants we are specialist consultants that believe not in reactive crisis resolution but in providing solutions and sustainable results. We at Provectus are proactive highly skilled healthcare professionals offering a wide range of services within the health and social care sector that enable existing services to operate more efficiently and effectively. Provectus has combined years of hands on NHS and private health care industry experience and delivery. Expert Advanced Nurses and other health and social care professionals with additional expertise in business management offers a unique can do attitude that provides us with the edge to deliver positive outcomes for our clients. We thus provide clients with the most relevant service, utilising the most appropriate delivery methods. Provectus is founded upon the belief that we should be delivering whatever our client needs, whenever our client needs it, whilst exceeding our client s expectations in every step of the process. We have strategic vision to anticipate trends and deliver creative and practical solutions to our client requirements. We are open and honest with our clients, ensuring a relationship that is transparent yet one that has longevity. Many of our old clients are still our clients. Whatever we do, we measure what we do. This to ensure that we deliver sustained performance with real results. We work as a team, both internally and with our clients and both want and need to understand your business: but most of all we care about our client s business and what we do for them as we see ourselves as long term partners in our client s success. Location Provectus has its offices in Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands: this centralised location gives ideal access to main arterial routes meaning that clients are easily supported on a countrywide basis. Business Sector Provectus has been established to assist commissioners, providers and those with a direct interest in health and social care provision such as the banking sector and educational sector. "Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives." 2
Company Background Provectus has the experience to be able to offer a unique service to health and social care commissioners as well as providers of health and social care services both in the private sector and NHS. Our unique selling point is having the strategic vision to anticipate trends and deliver creative practical solutions to our clients. Provectus has staff from a wide range of health and social care backgrounds, including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, non- medical prescribers, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Medicines Specialist Technicians as well as a General Practitioner - all working together to provide the highest possible standards in service delivery for our clients. Our goal is to get you implementing, not just planning and thinking. Our work is grounded in real business issues producing for you, tangible outcomes. We use the context of your business to develop the strategies and behaviours necessary for success in today's market driven climate. Many commissioners and providers of services rely now, more than ever before, on high value support and advice to help them realise potential providing high quality services. Provectus provides exactly such support and expertise. Clinical Audit and Assessment Provectus offers a range of unique services to providers of health and social care both in the NHS and private care industry. Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Specialist Medicines Management Technicians provide honest and balanced opinions of your business needs. This ensures provider compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. Our audits cover the following main areas: Clinical delivery and operations; clinical audit and assessment; person- centred care planning and nursing delivery Operational management to include the health and safety processes in place, as well as assessment of ancillary services Operational management including workforce planning; budgeting; and resourcing. Once the audit has been completed our report to the provider includes full discussion and planning to ensure the business gains maximum benefit from the findings. Ongoing support can be made available to ensure the necessary required changes are implemented. Medicines Audits Medicines audits can be provided individually where required to give the provider peace of mind in knowing they comply with both CQC and NHS standards. A Specialist Pharmacy Technician will conduct a full audit of all aspects of medicines management, and where appropriate, guidance and support will be provided to the client to ensure full compliance with CQC Essential Standards Outcome 9. 3
Advanced Quality Framework This new educational care model enables the integration of health and social care to ensure high quality care delivery for vulnerable people either in care homes or home care settings. Our Advanced Quality Framework promotes partnership working with all relevant health and social care professionals to facilitate early recognition and reporting of new and declining health conditions. This has been evidenced decrease in unnecessary contacts and admissions to Accident & Emergency Departments thus resulting in cost savings to the NHS as a public body. It has also evidenced the need for additional care home staff to provide escort, but more importantly it reduces unnecessary stress and trauma to the individual resident. As NHS commissioners constantly monitor the numbers of admissions and attendances from care homes to Accident & Emergency, any reductions reflect positively on the provider. Provectus Advanced Nurse Practitioners work alongside the key staff of providers coaching them how to use and implement the Advanced Quality Framework thus helping them to develop the necessary skills to promote positive health outcomes for vulnerable people. The Advanced Quality Framework is a new model that is designed to provide sustainable results that enable people to make choices about where and how they are cared for. This ensures that they receive the best possible care in a dignified way. The system is designed to fit in with any existing care home documentation thus reducing the need to change whole systems. It also provides additional evidence of care delivery as is unfortunately required in this litigious society. Provectus provides a full coaching and support programme that provides both theoretical and practical application of the Advanced Quality Framework. This aspect of our service is primarily aimed at care homes and home care however funding establishments such as Banks and Venture Capitalists, Local Authorities, CCGs and GPs would find this of benefit ensuring effective high standards of care delivery in the care home sector. Enabling Safe Discharge Programme Part of the Advanced Quality Framework, the Enabling Safe Discharge Programme has been designed specifically to promote best practice when patients are discharge from hospital to care home / home care. The current drive to relieve pressure on acute hospital beds is proving a challenge to commissioners, and equally care homes that are expected to accept their residents back from hospital often during the night or when staffing levels are much lower. This programme fits alongside other elements from the Advanced Quality Framework to allow medical and nursing staff in both the hospitals and care homes to have confidence that the risks, including those to the patients have been minimised and that discharge from hospital is not fraught with additional difficulties. There are few programmes that allow positive support mechanisms by health and or social care partners to care homes, and to ensure care provision for patients is met commissioners often turn to using contractual levers to promote compliance. The Enabling Safe Discharge Programme however can demonstrate how this is done using positive rather than negative motivators by facilitating true partnerships that are sustainable. The Enabling Safe Discharge Programme uses a deep understanding of how care homes operate and manage their resources, with the specialist nurses in Provectus having many years nursing experience in both acute care and in care homes. 4
Health Care and Business Matters Complying with Regulation and sourcing a Manager who is also proficient in managing health and care services as well as understanding the core business needs is not as easy as it sounds and many providers discover this at their cost. Many providers source consultants purely as a reactive method of improving failing services or following poor Local Authority monitoring and/or CQC Inspections. Provectus is different and are unique in that we provide a sustainable proactive solution that avoids such scenarios. Provectus has highly experienced professionals with many years of hands on managerial and operational management to support providers in ensuring their service meets not just the care and nursing needs, but also the business needs of the organisation. We offer a range of services that support, guide and deliver results to providers and their managers thus ensuring regulatory compliance. This can include coaching for new or inexperienced managers so that they develop the necessary skills thus providing long- term solutions. Following a visit by Provectus to establish your needs, our team assists providers with the necessary action planning and know- how that promotes quality care delivery and as equally important, increases in efficiency thus making solid business sense. We have assisted many providers to re- organise, change and develop their services to meet both business needs and market demand. For new providers we offer a range of support services from feasibility studies for a new project right through to assisting in the Registration process with the Care Quality Commission and to opening. We have experience of working with architects on small and large projects through to building completion and project operations. Personal Growth and Coaching Provectus provides individually specialist tailored education and coaching programmes that provide real solutions for staff in all health and social care settings, both in the independent sector such as care homes, home care providers and in NHS settings such as hospitals, GP practices, dental practices and other allied health services. All of the coaching provided is evidence and researched based best practice covering the necessary requirements of the Care Quality Commission, NMC, NICE, SCIE, NSF and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. Bespoke Educational Programmes Provectus offers bespoke education and skills based development in a wide variety of health care settings. We provide specialist training including NHS Hospitals, GPs, Dentists, Treatment Centres, Offender Health as well as Care Homes and Home Care providers. Whatever your training need, whether that is Mental Capacity Act, DOLS, Safeguarding Adults or more specialist clinical inputs such as NIPPV, tracheostomy, PEG training, or Infection Prevention Training we at Provectus have the staff on hand to help. 5
