Online Directory The Chamber web site gives your business a presence on the internet. Our online directory generates over 6,000 referrals for our members each month. Create your own interactive member page; offer coupons/discounts to public and/or members; and post jobs and events! Business Directory Stay in front of chamber members, business owners, non-profit directors, and government officials of the business community with our annual publication. Members get three listings. Referrals As a chamber, we are loyal to our members - referring only our members and doing business with members only. Networking and Relationship Building Business is about relationships. Education & Training The Chamber is committed to offering education seminars focused on professional development, business growth and operational efficiency. Business Awards & Recognition Each year the Chamber honors excellence in business and the community at an annual awards ceremony. Insert Mailing Program Keep your fellow Chamber members informed about products, services or news your business has to offer and share and stay in the know about Chamber programs and events. Six mailings are scheduled throughout the year on the first Friday of every other month starting in January. Save substantially on envelopes, processing and postage. 3 GROW WITH US! Leadership Halifax County Leadership Halifax allows current and future leaders the opportunity to learn about virtually every aspect of Halifax County. The program is designed to develop leadership skills and promote volunteerism in the community. Leadership Halifax County covers topics such as government, economic development, human services, and education. Involvement Get involved. Involvement increases business contact, creates an atmosphere for business development and growth and proceeds opportunities to make decisions that will influence community concerns. The Chamber has a wide variety of opportunity to get involved and will certainly suit the interest of any member. Bring your experience and knowledge to help strengthen the Chamber s membership while developing valuable business contacts. Advocacy Committees and staff follow local, state and federal legislation which as an effect on business and our community. Meetings are held with state legislators and our congressmen on a regular basis. Join Halifax Forward, the voice for positive progress, which is comprised of owners and managers of Chamber member businesses. As the advocacy arm of the Chamber, this group keeps a finger on the pulse of actives locally and advocated for pro-business issues. Membership will be approved if applicant meets the criteria. If membership is denied, applicant may re-apply either by invitation of the Board of Directors or at the end of 12 months. The Chamber reserves the right to approve or reject any membership application within reasonable opinion whose purpose runs counter to the purpose of the Chamber. Each membership application is reviewed and approved or rejected on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Membership is not automatic.
