2 Categories & Submission Information Categories, Descriptions & s Required 1. Production Builder of the Year: s A, B, & C Please see form A for submission requirements. Description: Any publicly traded or privately owned company that constructed homes based on stock plans. To be eligible, a home must be available for viewing by the judging committee. To be eligible, a company must have built a minimum of ten homes from December 1, 2013 to November 30, Custom Builder of the Year: s B, C, & D Please see form D for submission requirements. Description: Any builder that has constructed a single-site uniquely designed single family home. To be eligible, a builder must have completed at least one home from December 1, 2013 to November 30, Remodeler of the Year Project Under $50,000: s B, C, & E Please see form E for submission requirements. Description: Any builder that made upgrades to an existing home. To be considered for this award the project must be under $50,000 and be no more than two remodeled rooms. Construction must have been completed between December 1, 2013 and November 30, Remodeler of the Year Project $50,000 and Over: s B, C, & F Please see form F for submission requirements. Description: Any remodeler that made upgrades to an existing home with at least one wall from the original structure retained, The total cost of the remodel must be $50,000 or more with any number of rooms being remodeled. Trade Partner of the Year: s G & H (2 pages) Description: Any business involved directly in construction of a home but is not a building company. Examples include: framer; electrician; heating and cooling installer; tile setter; cabinet maker; landscaper; drywall hanger; and painter. This category is for businesses only and not for an individual. 6. Builder Sales Manager of the Year: s I & J (2 pages) Description: Someone who manages on-site sales people. This award is given based on closed sales volume, work ethic, customer service and overall commitment to make a positive contribution to their company, SAHBA and our community. 7. Builder Sales Professional of the Year: s K & L (2 pages) Description: Someone who demonstrates outstanding on-site sales accomplishments. This award is given based on closed sales volume, work ethic, customer service and overall commitment to make a positive contribution to their company, SAHBA and our community. 8. Associate Firm of the Year: s M & N (2 pages) Description: Any associate member business that supplies goods or services to other members, but is not directly involved in construction of a new home. Examples include: engineering firm; equipment and product suppliers: printer: utility company; security firm; advertising agency; mortgage company; title company; bank; and consultants. This category is for businesses only and not for an individual. 9. Individual Member of the Year: O Description: This award honors someone who consistently helps SAHBA through active participation and support of our organization. This person is a proactive ambassador for our organization and the building industry in general. This category is for an individual only and not for a business. 4 Categories & Submission Information Categories, Descriptions & s Required 1. Companies and individuals are welcome to self submit. 2. If company or individual won in a category last year, they are not eligible in that same category this year. 3. Only dues paying members of the Remodeler s Council are eligible for Remodelers of the Year. 4. The company/individual must be a member in good standing at the time of the submission and when the award is given. 5. Submissions must be completed in full to be considered. 6. All submissions in the Production Builder category will have on- site visits by the judges. A company representative must be present. Any projects or homes in the Production Builder category, visited by the judges must be completed and not judged in prior years. 7. Additional sheets for more explanation are accepted for all nominations. Please label response with award type and category name.

If you have any questions about the evaluation process or criteria, please contact Dan Hogan at (520) or dhogan@tep.com CRITERIA Weight SAHBA Involvement 40% Consider items such as: Leadership roles (Executive Board, Advisory Council, Committee Chair); Attendance and extent of participation at meetings, events and additional support to SAHBA Community Activity 20% Consider items such as: Charitable and service organization membership; public service Industry Reputation 20% Consider items such as: Phone interviews from trade partners, associate members and customers; Registrar of Contractor record Business Experience 20% Consider attributes such as: Management quality; professional affiliation; awards; ethics and longevity Site Visit Evaluation 50% of Total Score CRITERIA Weight Site and Integration 25% Takes advantage of site assets and solves site problems; respects site topography; preserves and/or enhances existing vegetation; is attractive from on-site and off-site locations and makes a positive contribution to the neighborhood Home Design 25% Appropriate for the market (or owners); comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces; uniqueness and innovation; energy efficiency; provides good value for the price Construction 25% Component quality (windows, doors, HVAC, foundations, insulation, framing, etc.); workmanship; energy efficient and components and methods; use of new materials and methods; areas under construction (if any) are organized and clean Finishes 25% Fit and Finish appearance; attention to detail; innovative materials and components; attractiveness; durability
