1 Creating homes shaping places CHP GRANT TERMS OF REFERENCE If you complete this form CHP will store and process your data in accordance with the requirements of its Data Protection Policy and in keeping with the Data Protection Act Grant Criteria Grants of up to 500 are available to all CHP residents and community groups that meet at least one of the following: Accessing education, work experience or volunteering placements (e.g. transport costs, exam fees, tuition, childcare costs while studying); Improving skills (e.g. course fees); Accepting a job opportunity (e.g. transport costs before being paid); To benefit existing or potential residents or service users of CHP (e.g. delivering training, buying equipment for a volunteering project or a community group). Where applicants are seeking funding towards education or improving skills, applications should demonstrate how it will benefit them (e.g. accessing employment). Applicants applying to benefit existing or potential residents or service users of CHP must demonstrate that the majority of beneficiaries will be CHP residents. A grant cannot be used towards living expenses (e.g. food, rent, electricity), or for a TV. Applicants must not be more than 500 in rent arrears and must have evidence of making regular payments. Grant Decision Applicants that demonstrate they fit the fund criteria will be shortlisted by the Grant panel. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted via or letter and invited for an interview. The interview is informal and an opportunity for the applicant to discuss their grant application with the panel in greater detail. Using this information, the panel will make an effective, well-informed and fair decision about allocating a grant. The applicant will be notified of the panel s decision within one week of the interview date. Monitoring and Evaluation Monitoring and evaluating successful grant applicants enables CHP to gain a better understanding of the impact of the grant. The grant allocation panel will contact individuals in receipt of a grant at least twice per year in order to give support and monitor progress. The grant allocation panel will visit community groups who have received funding. Applications that demonstrate they meet the criteria in section C will be invited to interview. If you are successful at interview you will be notified by letter.
