The Etiquette Curriculum was developed with urban youth in mind, and with special emphasis on building the self-esteem of participants and equipping them with critical social etiquette skills. Our Certification Benefits: UrbanGirlz Affiliation The certification allows you to promote yourself as having become a Certified UrbanGirlz Etiquette Instructor. UrbanGirlz is an award winning organization which meets the needs of urban girlz and teenz. Your etiquette business affiliation will be synonymous with quality and impact. Ongoing Training You will work closely with the UrbanGirlz Training Department thru weekly s, quarterly e-newsletter, and quarterly conference calls. Additional etiquette training classes are also offered for Certified Etiquette Instructors who want to expand their etiquette knowledge and business. Updated Training Materials Your yearly affiliation fee allows you to regularly updated materials, workbooks, tip sheets, etiquette articles and much more. 5 UrbanGirlz offers two opportunities for training: Onsite Certification Onsite certification is an onsite classroom instruction workshop conducted by the national training department of Urban Girlz. The onsite certifications take place across the nation throughout the year. Regional and local dates are posted monthly for women desiring to receive their certification in person. Cost: $ Online Certification Online certification gives individuals who are unable to travel an opportunity to become certified online. Online certification includes the Etiquette Instructor s Curriculum, online assessment and lessons and finally an Instructional DVD. The DVD which is part of the online certification packet leads instructors through each Etiquette Workshop and provides step-by-step instruction on running your etiquette business. UG Certified Etiquette Instructors are progressive, smart and motivated women across the country, which facilitate UG Etiquette Workshops. 2. What does the Etiquette Certification Include? Five information-packed modules taught by the national training director, online support and program materials. Programs for children from elementary school through college: You will leave with a comprehensive program for girls and teens of color and young adults. Meeting the community demand: You will leave with the ability to conduct a variety of Etiquette Workshops that teach etiquette, leadership and social skills. You will be able to offer a product that is needed and in demand and your varied programs will offer you customers choice from an urban point of view. Specifically Designed Materials: UrbanGirlz targets girls and teens of color which ordinarily do not have the opportunity to participate in a structured etiquette program. Valuable insight into building an etiquette business: Ongoing national support helps you to grow your business, get ideas from other etiquette instructors and share wisdom you have gained along the way. Certification from UrbanGirlz National Community Impact Initiative and documentation grants you permission to sale the UrbanGirlz Etiquette Workshop workbooks at workshops. Etiquette Instructors receive five percent of books sold. Prompt notification of newly developed materials and updates to existing materials for all Certified UG Etiquette Instructors. Income Opportunities UG Certified Instructors run their business as an independent business. Their income potential depends on what they charge for their etiquette classes. There is an opportunity to be paid $ through UrbanGirlz if a class is booked for you at the national level. 5. How are Etiquette Instructors Paid? Etiquette Instructors are paid on the 15 th and 30 th. Once certified, UG Certified Instructors are contract workers and are paid through electronic deposit. Locally, certified instructors are paid by the company. 6. Registration Cost? The UG Etiquette Instructor Certification fee is $ Certification fees cover the UG Certified Etiquette Instructor s Manual and Certification, online access, marketing material and national training support. Online Certification is $ These fees cover the everything the Onsite Certification covers but also includes a five part Instructional DVD. 7. UG Regional Etiquette Instructors UG Regional Etiquette Instructors are individuals who oversee regions of etiquette instructors throughout the country. Regional etiquette instructors are paid 30% per certification class where they work to recruit the attendee. In addition to training income, Regional Director also earn $ for each session conducted in their region by instructors booked the national office. 8. Cost to become a Regional Etiquette Instructors Regional Instructors pay an additional $ This fee will include one additional day of training and includes additional training materials. 9. Cancellation/Refunds All cancellations must be submitted at least one month prior to the scheduled training date to receive a partial refund. All cancellations are subject to a 20% cancellation penalty and $50.00 administrative fee. UrbanGirlz does not offer refunds, all sales are final on materials. 10. Registration Transfer Registrations can be transferred to another training date but cannot be transferred to another person.

Topics Include: Developing your business plan Developing your marketing strategy Networking and Relationship Building Session I Dining Etiquette Part I 1 hour Session 1 introduces the basics of dining etiquette which includes the following: Formal and Informal Table Setting Basic Utensil Identification Basic Table Etiquette Do s and Don ts During Dinner Session II Dining Etiquette Part II 1 hour (Continued) Session III Dinner Planning and Preparation 1 hour Session IV Communications Etiquette 1 hour Session V Image Etiquette 1 Hour Optional Module Dating Etiquette Session 2 continues the discussion of dining etiquette and presents the more advanced etiquette skills which include: Hard to eat foods Restaurant staff Special Dinner parties and services Identifying fine dining foods Session 3 teaches participants the steps to planning a dinner party or special event.
