The IDF World Dairy Summit 2014, with a theme of The Future Begins Here, aims to contribute towards dealing with the problems in the global dairy sector, while allowing for active discussion regarding industrial technology and basic research results. Israel has a relative advantage regarding increasing yields in the dairy chain, mainly in the first stages of production: Feed, farm management, animal health, genetics and environment. 10 THE ISRAEL DAIRY INDUSTRY The Israeli Dairy Farm has come to be known as a source of knowledge and pride as the dairy industry is one of the leading sectors in Israel s agriculture. It supplies about 80% of the Israeli domestic demand for milk and dairy products, while the rest is supplied by imports. How did the Israeli cow become a world leader in milk and milk solids production? In 2011, the Israeli cow produced an average of 11,775 kg of milk (production/cow/year), of which 3.24% is protein and 3.66% is fat. The reasons given are many, but the real answer lies in the combination of the unique method used in Israel to manage the dairy herd. The annual production is of about 1,3 billion liters of cow milk, and the value of all processed dairy products reaches 1.5 billion US$. The annual value of products being processed is about $2 billion. The Israeli supermarket shelves are bursting with a variety of over 1,000 healthy, innovative and tasty dairy products which can be compared with the state-of-the-art dairy industries worldwide. 15 EXHIBITION The exhibition will be held at the Summit venue. The exhibition floor plan is designed to maximize exposure to the participants. All lunches and coffee breaks will be held in the exhibition area. Exhibition space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to, Platinum and Gold Sponsors. Exhibition space will be available at 700 per sqm. The minimum booth size is 6 sqm. Please visit to view the exhibition floor plan. The organizers will retain: 10% of the agreed amount if the cancellation is made more than 6 months prior to the Congress. 50% of the agreed amount if the cancellation is made 4 months prior to the Congress. There will be no refund if cancellation is made 3 months or less prior to the opening of the Congress Liability and Insurance The Summit Organizer cannot accept liability for personal accidents loss of or damage of private property of participants, either during or indirectly arising from the IDF 2014 Summit. Participants are advised to issue their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip. Terms and Conditions: Support items are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis All payments must be received before the beginning of the Summit.
