1 Administrative Affairs Newsletter Winter 2018 Message from VP Doug Dawes My first semester at Humboldt State has been both rewarding and fulfilling. I appreciate the warm welcome I have received and the relationships I have built with many of you. I look forward to getting to know each of you more as we move our campus forward in I am honored to be part of a team that is so capable and caring. In March HSU will host an evaluation team from WSCUC, HSU s accrediting body. Accreditation is a peer review process that helps us re-examine our strengths and weaknesses, re-affirm our mission and vision, and ensure our continual development and improvement. Without a positive accreditation status, we would lose all federal financial aid and many of our students. In preparation for WSCUC s visit, I encourage each of us to review our institutional report, Education for Equity and the Environment. Each of us plays an integral role in providing a learning environment where students may thrive. I appreciate the hard work and dedication each member of the Administration Affairs team employs to make HSU a destination for thousands of students. I wish the best to all of us for a rewarding and successful Thank You!
