1 TELLURIDE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE OWNERS ASSOCIATION 2015 ECONOMIC STIMULUS APPLICATION Deadline for Application: Friday, October 17, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Applications must be received at TMVOA s office no later than October 17, 2014 for the 2015 economic stimulus funding cycle. Economic stimulus funding requests received after the application deadline will be considered if funds are available. Applicants will be notified of the Board s decision no later than December 31, Please contact Sara Larsen, at (970) ext. 7 or sara@tmvoa.org with any questions about the Economic Stimulus Funding Program. All fields in the Economic Stimulus Application Sections I, II, and III must be completed. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Print double-sided. 2. Submit Application typed and use 12 point font. 3. Submit Application without staples or binders. 4. Submit Application with hole-punches in all pages using a standard 3-hole puncher. 5. Do not include post-it notes or stickies. 6. Submit Application and copies in an envelope. 7. Submit Application with a copy of the State of Colorado Nonprofit Corporation Certificate (if applicable, see Section III). 8. Submit Application with a signed copy of Acknowledgement (see Final Page of Application). Goals & Objectives *: List your organization s goals and objectives for the granting year. * Please limit your response to no more than 3 goals and no more than 4 objectives (for each goal) Goals = desired future state or direction (1 year or more) Objectives = intended results or outcomes that are measures of progress towards a goal (1 year or less) Programs, Activities & Accomplishments *: Provide a list or brief summary of your organization s programs/activities and accomplishments. Planning *: State the organization s planning efforts focused on strategies for sustainability (or longevity), including the organization s ability to raise funds. Scholarships/Grants *: Describe scholarship program, including the scholarship types, amounts, and target audience. Staffing Plan *: Describe staffing plan including volunteers and paid staff (full time and part time) 6. Economic Impact: Provide a brief description of how your current programs will have a positive economic impact for the retail, restaurant and lodging sectors of Mountain Village and add to the overall sense of community by utilizing the below Economic and Non-Economic Indicators. a. Economic Indicators include: i. Increased sales tax collections ii. Increased lodging tax collections iii. Improved occupancy rates iv. Impact from direct event spending v. Mountain Village Event Presence: Provide a brief description of how TMVOA economic stimulus funds will be used to create an event presence in Mountain Village that is consistent with the funding level? 8. Calendar of Events: Provide the 2015 calendar of events for your organization, if applicable. 9. Funding Details: Explanation of funding needs. Please limit your answer to describing specific goals of the program under consideration. Date Funds Needed: a. Funding requested for cash: $ b. Please contact the Telluride Conference Center for rates and policies before finalizing your budget. As previously noted, be certain to discuss your event fully with TCC staff prior to submitting your Grant Application to TMVOA. Grantees will be responsible for contracting directly with the TCC for use of those facilities. Grantees will be billed directly by the TCC and Grantees are responsible for remitting payment directly to the TCC. Economic Development Grant Application - 4

5 c. Funding requested for Gondola activities: $ _ Provide a description of funding needed for the extended hours and dates for the Mountain Village Gondola. Please consider the following when making a request for extended gondola hours: Gondola funding requests for events that occur in Mountain Village have a better chance of receiving full funding. Gondola funding requests for events that occur solely in the Town of Telluride may be funded at 50% of the total requests, if deemed appropriate. Applicants may need to seek partial funding from other entities that benefit from additional hours of gondola operation. Applicants should consider the real need for extended gondola hours for their event before requesting funding. The Town of Mountain Village s hourly rate for the extended use of the gondola is $775.00, the Town of Mountain Village s hourly rate for extended bus service is $50.00 during the months of April through November, and the hourly rate for extended Dial-A-Ride hours is $ for a total cost of $1, to $1, This rate is subject to change. Please contact the Town of Mountain Village to confirm these rates and discuss the proposed gondola schedule directly with the Chris Colter, Transportation Director, at (970) prior to submitting your Grant Application to TMVOA. Grantees will be responsible for contracting directly with the Town of Mountain Village for extending the hours of the gondola. d. Funding requested for use of Town of Mountain Village s plazas/facilities: $ Provide a list of the locations your event or activities will occur on the Town of Mountain Village s plazas or facilities, excluding the Telluride Conference Center, and a description of funding needed. Please contact Katie Tyler with the Town of Mountain Village for permitting requirements and cost estimates prior to finalizing your budget and submitting your Grant Application to TMVOA. Grantees will be responsible for contracting directly with the Town of Mountain Village for use of plazas and facilities. Grantees will be billed directly by the Town of Mountain Village and Grantees are responsible for remitting payment directly to the Town. e. Funding requested for support facilities and equipment: $ Provide a list of any support facilities and/or equipment that are necessary for your program for which you need funding, such as tents, sound equipment, etc. Please note- this is not to include equipment provided by TCC. Those costs should be applied to question 8d. Economic Development Grant Application - 5

Summary Budget: Provide a summary budget (as an attachment) for the program for which economic stimulus funding is requested. In addition, please highlight other sources of funding that will be used towards the program. 12. Economic Impact Data: Provide a description of how this funding will stimulate economic development within Mountain Village by answering the following questions. If you have received Economic Stimulus funding in the past, please note the historical information for each question. a. Number of attendees for the past three years b. Potential number of attendees that will use Mountain Village lodging c. Estimated number of lodging rooms and nights to be used by this event d. Income demographics of those attending this event e. 7 f. Are you proposing to use the Telluride Conference Center? g. Are you requesting extended gondola hours, if yes how many? h. How will your event incorporate and promote Mountain Village merchants, restaurants, and lodging properties? i. How many years are you proposing to have your event in the Mountain Village? j. How will you evaluate and measure the success of your event/organization? 13. Sponsorship Fulfillment Provide a description of the sponsorship package available to Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association at the requested level of funding. Please include the details regarding such items as marketing, PR exposure, signage, program passes and privileges, etc. Should Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association provide your organization with grant funding, TMVOA will expect the following: a) Your organization/event will share sponsor contact information with Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association. The Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association will not contact any sponsors without prior notification to the event/organization. b) Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association will promote your event/organization to our sponsors for potential collaboration opportunities, pending no direct sponsorship conflict with your existing sponsors. In submitting this Application, I hereby acknowledge my understanding that any event/project/program occurring in the Town of Mountain Village may require the issuance of permits from the Town of Mountain Village. I agree to comply with all requirements of the Town of Mountain Village and understand that such compliance is my responsibility and that TMVOA has no obligation to participate or otherwise assist in obtaining necessary approvals from the Town.
