6 Digital Health Marketplace Program Overview This program has evolved over time to best support the ecosystem Digital Health Marketplace 2.0 Program first launched in 2013 with a focus on supporting health technology pilot projects. Program relaunched in 2015 with a focus on creating a marketplace for buyers and sellers of health technology. RFP released June 2018 for next iteration of the program to augment and scale the impact of the program. 6

8 Digital Health Marketplace Matchmaking Case Study Matchmaking can help digital health companies enter the NYC market. Met at matchmaking Launched pilot after initial meeting After pilot, entered into commercial agreement Since then, Healthify has secured 8 additional partners in NYC including Aetna, NYP, NYU Lutheran, and United Healthcare, and has raised over $8.8M in funding. 8

9 Project Goals NYCEDC has identified the following opportunities to hone, augment, and scale the impact of the Digital Health Marketplace. Increase opportunities for digital health companies to meet a diverse range of clients Present opportunities for digital health companies to meet investors Facilitate the search process for organizations in search of digital health solutions through an electronic platform Further establish NYC s brand as a global leader in digital health innovation Catalyze health tech innovation and access for underserved and high-need populations Support the growth of women and minority entrepreneurs in the health tech workforce Develop a sustainable economic model for continuation of the program 9

10 Digital Health Marketplace RFP: Work Stream Breakdown This RFP comprises two distinct Work Streams. Work Stream 1: The Program Work Stream 2: The Website Design, planning, and implementation of: Matchmaking Award Competition Events Developing and executing an overall strategy for accomplishing project goals Design, development, and maintenance of a website that will: Provide a search platform for health technologies Advertise and disseminate information on the Program Content management of and strategic direction for the Website 10

11 Potential Respondent Models Respondents can submit proposals for one or both Work Streams. NYCEDC welcomes partnerships and joint-venture responses Program Program Program Website Website Website One respondent to deliver services for both Work Streams. Two respondents together (one proposal) to deliver services for both Work Streams in partnership. One respondent to deliver services for a single Work Stream. These respondents should expect to be paired with another Respondent to fulfill the entire scope of work. 11

13 Scope of Services Work Stream 2: The Website Proposals for Work Stream 2 should describe a Respondent s approach to the following services: Tasks Components Task 1: Website Design Develop a written strategic plan/design proposal Produce wireframes and outline user experience Solicit and incorporate feedback Advise on domains Task 2: Website Development Convert wireframes into functional web presence Develop website back-end functionality Build a content management system Integrate content Task 3: Website Testing and Review Test functionality Proofread content Make adjustments based on feedback Task 4: Website Maintenance Regular monitoring, maintenance, updating and upgrading of the website Monitoring and sharing analytic data on traffic and usage 13

14 Selection Criteria NYCEDC will evaluate RFP respondents for each Work Stream independently and based on written proposals and interviews. 15 Submission Details Respondents must submit responses according to the following requirements: Submitted to and received by NYCEDC no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, Seven (7) hard copies of the proposal in paper form and one (1) copy of the proposal in electronic format (USB device) - The package must contain the Respondent s name and address written clearly on the outside and must be labeled Digital Health Marketplace RFP Proposals should also include: - Appendix 1: Local Law 34 Forms (in a separate envelope) - Appendix 2: Statement of Agreement Please refer to pages in the RFP for detailed Proposal Requirements and pages for Submission Details 15
