1 Admission Process and Registration Procedure The policies in this document apply to all programs offered by Petrel College in any location. The circumstances of an individual campus or a particular program may require supplementary interpretation or minor variation in procedure. This statement is current at time of publication. Where changes occur, Petrel will endeavor to give you as much advance notice as possible. Program Calendar and Deadline: Program Start Date: August 7 th, 2017 Program End Date: August 30 th, 2017 Registration Deadline: Saturday, June 17 th, 2017 Basic Admission Requirements: Mature Student status (Age 18 or above) English Language Proficiency: Intermediate How to Apply Applicants must submit an electronic application via filling out the International Summer Program Admission form as attached. For additional documents required to register for this program, please refer to the Required Documents section. Note: All of the documents should be submitted to learn@petrelcollege.ca Full payment ($ 7,000 - Canadian Dollar) of the program cost is required to be sent along with the documents indicated in step one in order for Petrel College to process your application. This payment has to be made as per the instructions in the Cost and Method of payments in this document. The abovementioned cost includes the following main items: Issuance of Invitation Letter Issuance of supporting letter to Canadian embassy

2 Flight tickets Shuttle services to and from airport Transportation service during sessions, workshops and visits Accommodation Farsi Speaking Coordinator Student safety and security during their stay in Canada Travel Insurance for students Most of the major costs are included in the above items. Students are responsible for the miscellaneous charges such as daily meal. Applicants will receive the official invitation letter and college s acceptance letter in order to apply for visa Upon receiving a feedback from Canadian Embassy, you must inform Petrel College for further arrangements for logistics affairs of your travel to Canada. (For more information about visa processing and application please refer to the Visa application Guideline attached) After fulfilling step 4, you will receive the program package that includes student cards, Timetable of the program, accommodation voucher, air ticket, and travel insurance within 10 business days. Along with this package you will also receive additional information about life in Toronto; Logistical services Petrel College offers to international students. Required Documents: Academic Records: Resume: In order to support your application, it is mandatory to provide our admission office with the transcripts of your previous education history. The transcripts have to be translated in English language and submitted in PDF format. Your most recent Curriculum Vitae or Resume helps our admission office to better evaluate your education history, career and competencies. Make sure you also include your resume in your application.

3 Expression of Interest: A one-page cover letter indicating your purpose of visit. This will help us to form a cohort of students with diverse backgrounds to add to the learning experience. Please check out our Application Procedure page on our website for hints on a successful cover letter. Valid Travel Documents: While traveling internationally, a valid travel document (passport) is mandatory. Your passport has to be valid AT LEAST 6 months form the end date of the program. 4 Cost and Method of Payment Program Cost : The program cost is CAD 7,000, including: Application processing,issuing the Invitation letter and Supporting letter by Petrel college, Air tickets ( round trip), Shuttling services from /to Airport in Canada, Program related Transportation in Canada, Accommodation for whole duration of stay in Canada, Tuition fees of all 5 workshops, Training handout and materials, Student card, Final Certificate and Travel insurance. (Please refer to itemized cost breakdown in the registration procedure policy booklet) Note : Students are responsible individually for the cost of embassy and all related charges for visa issuance and they are not included in CAD 7000 program cost. Refund Policy: Petrel College is committed to refund the whole amount of payments incurred after deducting the application fee of $ in case of visa rejection. Note: All payments are in Canadian Dollar unless otherwise specified.

5 Visa Application Steps: Step 1 Initiation letter will be issued by Petrel College for the applicant. Step 2 In order to facilitate the visa processing application and to support your application, Petrel college will issue an additional recommendation letter to the embassy indicating the purpose of the visit addressing. Step 3 Applicants have to apply individually in order to book an appointment for visa affair with embassy (For some countries, this process also includes Biometric and fingerprint) through visa facilitators in country. For convenience Petrel College can recommend some reputable visa facilitators depending on the applicant location. Each applicant is responsible for providing required personal documents as well as embassy charges except documents indicated in Step 1 and 2. Step 5 It usually takes about four (4) weeks for the embassy to evaluate the visa applications. Upon receiving the visa application result from the embassy, please notify Petrel College of Technology immediately in order to minimize the delay for receiving the package indicated in item 5 of How to Apply.
