1 GKCC Mentor Program 2016 Application Application Instructions To submit your application for the 2016 GKCC Mentoring Program, complete the subsequent pages of this document in their entirety and return it along with the additional attachments listed below, to Central Texas College, Student Life & Activities office, (Bldg. 106, Room 134), Attention: Kimberley Christian. The deadline for submission is Monday, November 9, Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. This program is open to students in their final year for completion of a degree/certification program only. Your full application will include the following: Completed Application (this document) Updated Resume Letter of Recommendation. These letters must be submitted by the person making the recommendation and must be received via to Central Texas College on or before November 9, Please ask the recommending party to name the file <yourfullname >. Time Commitment Selected applicants will be expected to meet the following requirements: Full participation in GKCC s Mentoring Program Commitment to attend six (6), one (1) hour mentoring sessions with your mentor: o o Arrive on time and attend all Mentoring sessions, to be coordinated with your mentor Attend all program sessions coordinated by GKCC, including the kickoff event on January 14, 2016 and the graduation ceremony on April 28, Additional information about the GKCC Mentoring Program can be found at Page 1 of 5

5 LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION Applicants must submit a minimum of one letter of recommendation in support of their applications. This letter should be submitted via to Kimberley Christian, Kimberley.christian@ctcd.edu and must be sent from the account of the person making the recommendation (listed below). Letters must be received to this address on or before November 9, The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce will notify you once your completed application is received in our office. I am a registered student. I in my final year of completed my degree/certification program with CTC or TAMU-CT If selected I will fully participate in the GKCC Mentoring Program I will attend the kickoff event on January 14, 2016 I will attend the six mentoring sessions with my mentor I will attend the graduation ceremony on April 28, 2016 I will arrive on time for each program and will be in attendance for its entirety If I am unable to comply with any of the above, I will notify the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, as soon as, possible and voluntarily withdraw from the program. The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce and mentors for the Mentoring Program include individuals of many faith traditions. The GKCC makes every effort to schedule program activities at times that do not conflict with religious observances; however, this is not possible in every instance. If you have concerns about your ability to commit the time required during the months of January 2016 thru April 2016, please contact the GKCC at maria@killeenchamber.com.
