1 August/September 2017 New 4-H Year Welcome back to the new 4-H year. Enrollment will again be at 4honline. This should be an easier year for those of you returning. Your leaders have instructions on how to re-enroll. Each member will need to sign the Agreement to Assume Risk form and complete a Medical form. Federation will pay the enrollment fee for all who register and turn in all required forms by Dec 1, 2017 Celebrate your 4-H membership during National 4-H Week October 1-7. Our theme this year is Mission: Adventure Join the Team. Change the World. He attended several State events such as camps and leadership conferences. Rod became the leader of his 4-H club while his three daughters were in 4-H. His oldest of five grandchildren just started his 4-H career, so he will continue to be a part of Marshall-Putnam 4-Hfor years to come Individual Experience Application IMPORTANT!!! Get your signatures and turn it into your leaders. It is a very simple form. Call Anne if you have any questions SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS The M-P Federation scholarships were given to Payton Knisley of the Henry Guys and Gals and Bradley Wink of PC Progressors. 2 Federation News We all need a buddy! This fall, introduce your club members to a new mentoring opportunity to help new young people find their place in 4-H 4-H Buddy. One of the most important things that 4-H has to offer young people is a place of belonging finding a place where they are accepted and appreciated for who they are. But that sense of belonging doesn t just happen. Club members and leaders must plan how they can be welcoming to new members. A 4-H Buddy helps a new member feel welcome, meet new friends, and learn about 4-H activities and events. A 4-H Buddy helps a new club member discover all the things he/she can do and learn in 4-H. Being a 4-H Buddy is also a great way to start learning and practicing leadership in the 4-H club. As a mentor to new members, a 4-H Buddy must be a 4-H member for two or more years; be a good role model to other members; attend club meetings on a regular basis; and be approved by the 4-H club leader.
