1 WAYNE COUNTY September/October 2007 Issue MAKING TRACKS Half Century Dinner Gary Beilman and Dan Card are working hard as cochairmen of the seventh annual Half Century Member Recognition Dinner. The Chamber honors businesses who have been members for fifty or more consecutive years. The dinner will take place at Ehrhardt s Waterfront Resort located on Route 507 on Lake Wallenpaupack. We invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 17th as we honor three outstanding members of the Chamber Citizen s Savings Bank, Cordaro s Restaurant and Pennstar Bank. The evening will begin with a Social Hour at 6PM, which is being sponsored by Wayne Bank. A sit down family style dinner will be served at 7PM. Awards will be presented following dinner to recognize the achievements of our three honorees. Make your reservations early, as this event sells out fast! Visitor Center Now Tobacco Free As of June 1, 2007 the Wayne County Visitor Center is a Tobacco Free Environment. Peifer Backs HB 258 State Representative Michael Peifer is co-sponsor of House Bill 258, which would require PA school districts to start the school year after Labor Day.
