Soil Association s Food for Life Mark. Affiliated with the Workers Rights Consortium (WRC) and other ethical organisations relevant to Higher Education. Purchase ethical and fairly traded products, avoiding exploitation of labour, Electronics Watch First Welsh organisation to affiliate to Electronics Watch. Independent monitoring organisation, helps public sector buyers work together to ensure respect for labour rights and safety standards in factories making ICT hardware we buy. Provides contract conditions Requires transparency in our ICT supply chain Provides feedback on factory specific issues Takes action to resolve breaches e.g. (Higher Education Purchasing Consortium, Wales (HEPCW) has awarded a new agreement for Apple Equipment and Services) New and gathering momentum September 17 COUP17 8
