1 Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd Sport and Community Sponsorship Application Form Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd is a not for profit community organisation in every sense, and continues to not only honour its primary objective of the promotion and development of sport in the Cairns community, but also strives to increase its community contributions both in cash, and in kind, every year. Organisations or charities seeking support are asked to complete a Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd Sport and Community Sponsorship Application form. Application forms are presented at the next Board Meeting for consideration. If approved by the Board, a letter will be sent detailing the level of support the Club has agreed to. 5 BROTHERS LEAGUES CLUB (CAIRNS) LTD SPORT AND COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIP: Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd was founded to provide both financial and social support to both the senior and junior football clubs. Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd. has since grown to include in its long term vision the promotion and encouragement of all sport and the development and maintenance of the best sporting facilities, through the operation of the most successful licensed leagues club in Far North Queensland. Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd has a proven track record of delivering significant support to the Cairns sporting community, it is also well known as being a responsible corporate citizen providing financial support to many charitable organisations, and at times to individuals in need. It has also been a significant contributor and facilitator in raising financial assistance for disaster relief both in Australia and overseas. BROTHERS LEAGUES CLUB COMMUNITY SUPPORT POLICY Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd. is dedicated firstly to the promotion and development of sport, and secondly to a strategy of growing community value. The club has a clear commitment to the communities we live and work in, and concentrates its support in three core areas: 1. Sporting Organisations 2. Community (including Education) 3. Charities When determining the community projects the club supports, it considers those that target issues affecting the welfare or the health of our local population, in order to encourage a healthier lifestyle for all demographics within our community. SUPPORT AVAILABLE Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd. makes financial contributions by giving money in response to local appeals, supporting national community service events, contributing to the fundraising efforts of our local schools, and by encouraging our members and staff to give their time by providing specialist skills, management advice and assistance with events and programs. The club also has a range of resources that are given in kind, including the use of our facilities, food & beverage vouchers, ticketing, publicity and the fundraising and organisational talents of our Promotions, Administration and Marketing teams.
