3 What s in store 1. Get online 2. Spread the word 3. Get the most bang for your buck 4. Gather your fundraising squad
4 1. Get online Just create your page, pop in a great photo of you or your team and some emotive words, then stand on your chair and shout I m an Urban Challenger. (Ok maybe not the last bit!) Then let your friends, family and colleagues know about your page and watch the money roll in. Easy peasy right? Let s get started
5 Choose Organised Event and search for the Urban Challenge Choose Guy s and St Thomas Charity or Evelina London Children s Hospital
6 Highlight anything that ll make your fundraising activity stand out, especially if you have a relationship with the hospital as an ex-patient, staff member or supporter! Show off the challenge we re guessing this is the first time you ve ever climbed Europe s highest hospital tower, after running and cycling like crazy? Well tell people that it s a pretty darn amazing challenge to take on! Add incentives to encourage people to give more. E.g. one of our Marathon runners pledged to listen to Barbie Girl on repeat for all 26.2 miles if he reached his fundraising target... legend!

9 4. Gather your fundraising squad All set to go and ask everyone you know for money now? STOP right there! While you might think asking everyone you know for money is the way forward, it pays off to line up a key group of friends who you don t ask for money to help support you! Instead ask them to share the load by helping you out with your fundraising. Maybe they could round up new contacts, or organise a mini-events for you e.g. a cake sale or a dress down day at work. Sharing is caring after all!
10 Donate by post Please make cheques payable to Guy s & St Thomas Charity and enclose a completed donation return form, which you can find on the next page. Include any completed sponsorship forms, the donation return form and payment to: Guy s and St Thomas Fundraising Team, Virginia Woolf Building, 22 Kingsway, (2nd Floor) London, WC2B 6LE Call us on to make a credit or debit card donation. Be sure to quote Guy s Urban Challenge when calling. If you have offline sponsorship money and your sponsor has added their details to your sponsorship form, please post this to us at the address above so we can claim Gift Aid. Collect up all the money you have raised, and pay it into your bank. You can then pay this amount onto your online fundraising page. Please be aware that we will not be able to claim gift aid if you make the payment onto your own page.
