1 Edwin M. Lee, Mayor Naomi Kelly, City Administrator City and County of San Francisco City Administrator Yammer/Microsoft Community Benefit Agreement 2013 Progress Report Final 1. Microsoft will encourage employees to volunteer in the Central Market and Tenderloin neighborhoods by sponsoring at least two volunteer days in 2013 where employees will be enabled by senior management to participate in volunteerism. Employees will be compensated for these community volunteer activities as if they were usual work days. On April 12, 2013, Yammer sponsored 1 company-wide day of giving where 80% of in-town employees participated. We had over 200 employees volunteering at 13 organizations. As part of Microsoft s Day of Giving, on September 20 th, 2013, employees were encouraged to volunteer at GLIDE. Approximately 20 employees volunteered, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This event helped kick off Microsoft s annual Give Campaign, which encouraged employees to volunteer and donate to non-profits.
