1 PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL 2 ND ANNUAL SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE AND SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ADVANCEMENT PROGRAMME 2017 Small Business AUGUST 2017/MBOMBELA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY Advancing small businesses to do business with Government, Corporate, SOEs &other Small Businesses ESD Advancement Programme 2017 The South African Small Business sector has undergone changes with the new BBBEE codes which require Corporate to play a significant role to help develop and grow small businesses. The Enterprise and Supplier Development together encourages corporates to conduct their ESD interventions within their own supply chains. If well executed, these interventions not only transform supply chains and assist in localizing procurement but have great impact in the development of the South African economy. To help Private and Public Sector achieve their ESD goals, we invite your Organization to partner with the Small Business Enterprise and Supplier Development Advancement Programme 2017.

2 PROGRAMME SUMMARY Small Business Skills : Intense hands on practicals and workshop sessions, also designed for Enterprise and Supplier Development screening &recruitment. It is a high level information dissemination clinic for small businesses in Mpumalanga. Wenza-Kahle SME100 Boot : A selected number of ready small businesses from the clinic attend the boot camp. Wenza-Kahle SME100 Boot Camp is industry based with a key focus of exposing Small Businesses to the market, provide intense industry training. Wenza-Kahle SME100 : All small businesses in the boot camp enter for the scholarship accolades (this is national competition also opened to all small businesses). The scholarship accolades present the winners with non-financial resources to help build sustainable and competitive businesses. We also recognize entities where the awarded small businesses are incubated/mentor/funded/supported. ESD Annual SME Report Digital Publication: The publication presents an opportunity for these small businesses to be profiled &Showcase their services/products to the market and also profile entities where the small businesses are incubated/mentored/funded/supported. The publication is distributed to all our local and international platforms. OBJECTIVES Create a platform for: Market Access, Funding, link to Enterprise& Supplier Development programmes, Business Support programmes, Market Expansion (Local & International), Industry Skills. All Businesses will be profiled as per BBBEE certificates, number of years in operation, annual turnover and number of employees before permitted to enter the programme. Provide a professionally compiled programme report after the programme has been completed. Provide sponsor with delegate BBBEE certificates, company profiles and attendance register.
