2 DEALER INFORMATION Community Heroes is a grass-roots campaign, honoring local Heroes who go above and beyond to serve and inspire others throughout our Auer Steel Bryant Territory. This is an exclusive program designed for Bryant Red dealers! A Hero demonstrates how a person with passion and determination can use their life to make a difference. There is no one definition of what makes a Hero, but most tend to be unsung Heroes who are quietly doing amazing work for the improvement of their community. We want to honor these individuals. Each Hero will be recognized and provided at no cost, a new Bryant high efficiency gas furnace installed by you - their trusted, local Bryant dealer. A 926T furnace will be provided to all participating Red dealers by Auer Steel, at no cost to you! You are responsible for the installation of the furnace. DEALER INFO Each dealer is responsible for getting the word out to your community encouraging others to nominate an individual who they feel is deserving of this acknowledgment and reward. We know every Hero has a great story, and we can t wait to read all of the nominations. Nominations will be entered at: Nomination Start and End Dates: May 1, 2017 November 1, 2017 Winner Selection Period: November 1 - November 20, 2017 Winner Notified By: December 1, 2017 Submit Furnace Order Form to Auer Steel By: December 22, 2017 Installed by: December 31, Issued by: January 31, 2017 (You are required to issue a 1099 to the recipient. See last page for more details). Note: There will be a place on the nomination form for people to list if they are currently working with a Bryant dealer and name that Bryant dealer. Please be sure that those you tell about the program plug your name into the form. SPREADING THE WORD Each dealer is responsible for getting the word out there in their local community through advertising, referrals and word-of-mouth. To help you with your efforts, Auer Steel has put together a turnkey Marketing Kit. 3 DEALER INFORMATION SELECTING A WINNER When the nomination period is over, Auer Steel will provide each dealer with a file of the nominations that were generated by your company based on the information provided in the nomination form. We want you to select the winner in your community! Within your company, narrow down the nominations to 3-5, then develop a selection panel of community leaders. Per our terms & conditions must include a minimum of 3 individuals on the panel to help choose the winner, such as the mayor, police chief, local business owners, or local teacher. Make this about the community and generate positive press! Winner must be chosen by November 20, 2017 and notified by December 1, Dealer Provides: Furnace installation labor and installation materials Advertises the program in their local community Auer Steel Provides: 926T Furnace Website to collect nominations Turnkey Marketing Kit and 250 initial in-home leave behind postcards Dealer Resources: Please visit to download copies of the marketing collateral and program updates as they arise. Please read full legal terms and conditions available on NOTIFYING THE WINNER Once you have made your selection, use the contact information on the nomination form to call the winner and the person who nominated them to let them know the exciting news. See Selection & Installation document for more details. Winner must have a natural gas or propane furnace currently installed in their home. Your winner must read and sign the Promotion Release & Declaration of Compliance Form & Publicity Release Form before accepting their prize. At the time you notify your winner, schedule a time to meet the winner at their home so you can take a look at the furnace and detemine what size is needed.

4 ORDERING THE FURNACE After you determine what size furnace is needed, complete the Furnace Order form and send it to: Questions? Contact Leah Bublitz at Once the form is received, we will arrange to have the 926T furnace shipped to you via Auer Steel truck. Please do not call Inside Sales to place the furnace order. If the homeowner would like to upgrade the furnace, please indicate that on the Furnace Order Form. Auer Steel will bill the dealer for the difference between the 926T and the upgraded furnace. NOMINEE To be eligible for consideration, each nomination must meet the following minimum criteria: Nominator must be at least 13 years old. Nominee must be 18 years of age or older. All nominations must be submitted online at bryantcommunityheroes.com. A nominator may only nominate one Hero. If a nominator submits multiple nominations, only the first submission will be considered. A hero may be nominated several times by multiple people, but please remember quality over quantity. To be eligible for selection as a Bryant Community Hero, a nominated Hero must meet the following minimum criteria: Must live within 50 miles of a dealer listed on the Participating Dealer tab on the website. Must have a natural gas or propane furnace currently installed in their home Must complete a publicity release as a condition to selection GENERAL RULES All nominations become the property of the Bryant Community Heroes program and must be submitted between 1:00PM CST 5/1/2017 and 5:00PM CST 11/1/2017. Bryant Community Heroes reserves the right to use and edit the nomination in its sole discretion for use in publication or promotion. Nominated Heroes may be contacted to provide additional information and have their information verified. Submissions will be judged from among all eligible nominations received. Factors to be considered in selection process: The degree to which the Hero has exhibited dedication and selflessness. The degree to which the Hero has made a special and significant impact on individuals, families or the community-at-large. The degree to which the Hero has gone above and beyond to serve and inspire others. The degree to which the Nominator is able to convey the overall significance and impact of the Hero s work. Nomination information will be listed on the website.

5 NOMINATION INFORMATION Winners to receive: Recognition Press release sharing the winner s Hero story with local media Bryant High Efficiency Gas Furnace The Bryant high efficiency gas furnace will give our Heroes a furnace they can rely on to keep them and their families comfortable all winter long, installed by a team of Bryant professionals they can trust. Each winner will receive a Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems 926T Furnace and installation. Winners may choose to upgrade their furnace and pay the difference for the upgrade. The local Bryant dealer who generated the nomination or is closest to the chosen winner will provide the furnace installation. Issuing a 1099 to Winner Per IRS guidelines, you are required to inform your Community Heroes winner that by IRS standards their free furnace is considered a prize. The the value of the furnace and installation must be claimed on their 2017 taxes via a 1099 form. You are required to issue a 1099 to the recipient prior to January 31, To issue the 1099, you must have the following information to provide to your tax accountant: 1. Homeowner Name 2. Homeowner Address 3. Homeowner Social Security Number (collect at the time of installation). 4. Date of Installation 5. Total Value of Installation, including the value of the furnace If you have any questions regarding the proper handling of this transaction for tax purposes please feel free to contact your tax accountant.
