1 EDGEWARE BUILD YOUR BUSINESS PROGRAM MAKE MONEY, HAVE FUN, CHANGE THE WORLD WHO? For startup and early stage entrepreneurs A development program offered by Noosa Regional Gallery, Noosa Shire Council Economic Strategies and Innovations and Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship (in partnership with Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE) WHAT? An alternative, fast-tracked startup business education program and network HOW? The Edgeware program is offered to between 10 and 15 participants at a subsidised fee. It is delivered through a set of presentation/workshops over 12 weeks, backed up by online interactions and services, and value added by informal interactions among the participants themselves, and with local entrepreneurs. The idea is commercial and pragmatic. Five accredited and transferable TAFE units are delivered during the program, but its tangible outcomes are workable new enterprises. The idea is also altruistic, and works with an organisational DNA of ethical practice, social responsibility, sustainability, mutuality, a sense of play and a sense of humour. WHEN, WHERE? 26 July 18 October 07, Noosa Regional Art Gallery Schedule Attached 1

2 EDGEWARE CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP Education Business Education for the Knowledge Economy Incubation Grass Roots Ethical Business Building Interaction Networking Emerging Entrepreneurs PRESENTERS, COACHES, MENTORS, CRITICAL FRIENDS The Edgeware idea stresses authentic, real-world interactions and the actual business of business building. Its presentations are delivered by successful, inspiring local business people who know the ropes, the joys and disappointments, and are willing to share their stories and expertise. These people are drawn from any industry; the critical elements are their knowledge, experience, creativity, savvy and passion. Apart from the (roughly fortnightly) presentations, coaches, mentors and critical friends become involved with Edgeware participants in a variety of ways. This is open-ended and open-source: Edgeware in this sense just provides a platform and exchange, brokering connections and learning opportunities. People get themselves motivated, know who they are, and do what they must. This interpersonal dimension is central to the Edgeware idea, the dimension most acknowledged by participants, the Edgies, in past programs. WHAT DOES IT COST? $495 (incl GST) Participation discounted through a partnership with Sunshine Coast TAFE HOW TO SIGN UP Go to the Edgeware website or by request For more information on Edgeware contact: Michael Doneman michael@edgeware.com.au Ph , Mobile
