7 Kenan Fellows are Teacher Leaders Who Make STEM subjects relevant and engaging to K-12 students, Have an impact beyond their classroom, and Help close the STEM workforce gap

8 Who Can Become a Kenan Fellow? Offered on a competitive basis to K-12 traditional and charter public school teachers Should have at least two years of teaching experience

9 How Long is the Fellowship and What Does it Include? The Fellowship is one year in length and does not take teachers out of the classroom Includes: o 3 5 week internship with a mentor in a research or applied STEM setting o o o 80 hours of professional development focused on project-based instruction, digital learning, and leadership Coaching by KFP staff to translate internship experiences into classroom curricula and/or community engagement projects $5,000 Stipend for the Teacher/Fellow
