WAEE Mentorship Program January s Mentorship Activity: Come up with three to five New Years Resolutions that deal with the topics you have talked about previously with your mentor/mentee. Reassess your progress towards these resolutions throughout the year! The Mentorship Program accomplishes WAEE's mission of networking by linking experienced environmental educators to those who are new in the field. There are no set criteria for being a mentor or mentee. Mentors should be available to answer questions, serve as a reference, or even provide practicum experience for their mentee while mentees can ask questions, look for potential employment, and even use their mentor as a reference. Mentorship program participants meet at a WAEE event, share contact information, determine a goal for the partnership, and share a conference meal. Mentorship activities are suggested in the WAEE monthly newsletter. If this is something you d like to do, just sign up when you register for Fall Conference. Board of Directors Updates The next WAEE Board of Directors Meeting will be January 27, 2013 at the Treehaven in Tomahawk, WI. Please contact Susan Schuller at Susan.Schuller@uwsp.edu if you are interested in discussing something with the Board during the Public Input Section of the meeting.
