2 We are delighted that Focus is coming to Cardiff in 2015! The organisation will be shared between the Wales and South West & Wessex regions to represent both sides of the Bristol Channel. The conference will be held in the Wales Millennium Centre, situated in the lively surroundings of Cardiff Bay. The committee plan to showcase local initiatives including highlights of the National Patient Safety Agenda in Wales. The exhibition will be in a rather novel location, backstage in the Millennium Centre, close to all the plenary and parallel sessions. There is excellent vehicle access through a large loading bay area that provides access directly into the exhibition area. As usual, posters and catering will also be within the exhibition area. The Exhibition Exhibition space is offered in 6sqm blocks with the option to book single or multiple blocks. The stand price includes shell scheme and an electrical socket but space only is an option for those who prefer to build their own stand. Provisional opening hours for the Exhibition will be: Tuesday hours Wednesday hours Thursday hours. Early Booking Discount We are offering a 10% discount for bookings made by 1st November Exhibition Fees The exhibition fees are 260 plus VAT per square metre for ACB Corporate Members and 350 plus VAT for non members. The fees include shell scheme an electrical package based on one socket per 6sqm block a 100 word entry in the Focus Handbook and a listing on the Focus 2015 web site with a link to the company webs site 1 complimentary registration per 6sqm block All sponsorship opportunities (see below and overleaf) will be available to companies without the requirement to exhibit. Commercial Partner Package There is the opportunity for companies to increase their profile at the meeting by becoming a Commercial Partner. The package is detailed below and is only available to ACB Corporate Members. Company name and logo on the Invitation to Participate Company logo on the Focus website with link to company website Company name and logo in the Handbook with a 100 word text entry (additional to exhibition package entry) 10 delegate places Package cost 6,000 + VAT Industry Sponsored Workshops Industry sponsored workshops are available during the extended morning coffee breaks. A maximum of two workshops per day are available. A maximum of two sessions can be allocated to any one organization. The cost per workshop is 1,500

3 Hosted Sessions There is also the opportunity to run a Hosted Session. Hosted Sessions will run in parallel to the Symposia sessions (a maximum of two Symposia Sessions will run in parallel to a Hosted Session). 4 Focus The Snippets at Focus sessions continue in 2015, running during the coffee breaks and lunch period. Snippets will take place in the exhibition. The presentation area will be equipped with a laptop, data projector and screen. Each presentation will run for 15 minutes. Presentations may relate to the themes of the symposia or relate to a clinical or technical application of a product with particular emphasis on the following areas: Latest research of a product in a clinical or laboratory setting Lab evaluation of a product or latest technology Demonstration of improvements using products for labs/clinicians. Booking Booking is now open and each exhibition space and sponsorship item will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Payment Bookings made prior to 31 December 2014: a 20% deposit is due when a booking is made and payment must be received by 31st January The balance will be invoiced in February 2015 and payment will be due by 1st April Bookings made after 31 December 2014: an invoice will be issued for the full amount and payment will be due within 4 weeks. If payment is not made within the relevant timescales, the booking may be declared void and the exhibition space or sponsorship item may be released for sale to other parties. Should any amount remain outstanding at the time of the meeting, neither company personnel, nor contractors will be allowed access to the exhibition space or meeting until payment is received. Cancellations Cancellations before 31 January 2015 the deposit will be retained. Cancellations after 31 January 2015 the full amount of the commitment will be due unless the exhibition space or sponsorship item can be sold to another party.
