10 ABOUT THE CITY AND COUNTY OF BROOMFIELD The City and County of Broomfield is an exceptionally prized home to residents and businesses who take pride in the hometown values and atmosphere they have worked to create. Broomfield is a quality community with stable and strong financial underpinnings despite the recent economic downturn. Ever a master-planned community, today's Broomfield has developed beyond the 1950s growth boom when developers decided to build the state's first dream community. The city's forefathers consciously planned the city's growth then, and that tradition continues. The Broomfield of today is governed by a Master Plan that projects its population at build-out to be approximately 85,000. Beautiful, close-knit neighborhoods and friendly businesses mark a true sense of community. Residents, city government, schools and businesses work together constantly to keep Broomfield a sustainable community where people can live, work and play. Recently selected by CNN Money magazine's as the 19th best place to live among the top 100 cities in America with the population of 50K-300K, Broomfield's location along the Front Range provides an excellent opportunity where the Colorado lifestyle and premier business climate present endless possibilities.
