2 organizational overview Established in Austin in 1958, Goodwill is the longest standing workforce not-for-profit agency in Central Texas. We are changing the Central Texas employment and education landscape. Some accomplishments of our award-winning programs in 2015 include: 72 HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS awarded by The Goodwill Excel Center, the first and only free high school in the state of Texas that can award a high school diploma to adults over age PEOPLE ENROLLED in The Goodwill Career and Technical Academy and earned an in-demand career certification. 3,827 JOB PLACEMENTS in the community. Goodwill Business Solutions is the fifth largest staffing service in Central Texas, helping to place job-ready individuals with local employers. 7,000 CLIENTS received intensive services through a Goodwill Workforce Advancement program, which provides career advancement training and support services. Representation on campaign collateral present in over 40 retail locations Representation on in-store messaging present in over 30 retail locations Representation in campaign video published via YouTube and across all social media channels Fifteen original social media impressions Each Summer we celebrate the graduates whose hard work and perseverance earn them a high school diploma, and new opportunities for themselves and their families.
