2 Welcome to the 42nd MERGA Conference 2019 You are invited to be part of the MERGA42 Conference. The conference will be held at Curtin University, Bentley Campus from Sunday, 30 June to Thursday 4 July. Additionally, a Teachers Day will be held on Saturday 29 June. We are very excited about this location and confident it will provide sponsors and exhibitors, as well as delegates with a rewarding and memorable conference experience. The Conference Organising Committee is pleased to offer your organisation the opportunity to participate in the MERGA42 Conference as a sponsor. The Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia provides an inclusive and cosmopolitan Conference. We look forward to seeing mathematics educators - and academics involved in mathematics education - from many countries. Why Sponsor? The MERGA conference offers an important forum among professionals, researchers and students. The theme of the conference is Research Impacting Classroom Practice. Prominent local and international speakers will prompt discussion on the latest research in mathematics education. We are fortunate to have been able to attract some highly regarded international speakers in Professors Jere Confrey, Paul Cobb, Julia Sarama and Doug Clements. In addition, Professor Di Siemon will deliver the Clements Foyster Address and Professor Doug Clarke the Teachers Day Keynote speech. That is indeed an impressive line-up of speakers who will certainly provide plenty of stimulation. The Conference will encourage active participation, including presentations and workshops, and identify pathways for long-term mathematics research in education. However, we are mindful that some sponsors have unique needs, and we would be happy to discuss combinations of the offered packages with your organisation.
