21 IN THE SWING OF THINGS It s a very exciting time in the Tennis program here. Upon taking over our program here, we have made sweeping changes and improvements to help enhance our Tennis department. From revamping the Weekday Ladies tennis system, to adding several NEW events to the Calendar, to the new Frequent Tennis Player rewards program that kicked off March 1st. These are just a sampling of the exciting new things we will be doing in tennis this year here. We have a new Pre-Teen/Teen Beginner Jr. Clinic starting at the end of April as well as adding an extra day to the Orange ball Hot Shots Clinic starting with our March session. Look for more info soon on our Summer Jr. Tennis program as well. We are happy to announce the formation of a 3rd QC Mixed Doubles team this Spring, and to help you get some extra practice and instruction, Jason will be running a Mixed Doubles Clinic on Fridays from 5:30-7:00pm starting in April with Cabana specials for players after the Clinic! Mark your Calendars for the Winston-Salem Open for the Men s Final on August 25th, as we will be putting together a chartered bus group trip up to watch the Finals complete with a cocktail party at the Cabana before we leave! Lots of exciting things happening in Tennis in the months to come, stay tuned for more details. Our door is always open if you have feedback or would just like to stop by and chat! Competition in Tennis, Golf and Swimming will be used in what is sure to make for an entertaining day. Dinner and awards celebration will complete the day.

The Club will have loaner paddles available for those who want to try the game before purchasing their own paddle, and will provide balls. Pickleball is a fun and exciting paddle sport for people of all ages and levels of athletic ability, and one of the fastest growing sports in the US and around the world. Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.
